I'm torn right now. I either want to play a Warden on Hib or a Paladin on Alb. Which realm needs more help in your opinion? Also how do Warden's perform versus a Paladin? I played a Warden on live Classic servers without ToA or MLs and did pretty good solo/grouped up to RR6. I'm very familiar with the classic. I'm sure a Paladin wouldn't be much of a different, I know how to twist chants and things of this sort.

I'm leaning towards the Warden though, they get speed, celerity, haste, self bases.

Is there something I'm missing that I should know because I'm looking at Charplan 1.6.8 which is the 1.88a version of the server version.

I've know this for a few days now. Someone told me the online Character Builder is pretty similar to what you can get on Uthgard. I ended up going two-handed Champion, so far leveling is decent. If shield-spec was viable and the block rate was better I probably would have went hybrid Blademaster going 42/39/39/30.

Wardens don't have celerity here.

Hero, BM will probably get you groups quite easily on Uth. Druid and Bard may not be a bad choice either. With casters I would say there is no reason not to roll one - after all they are needed in PvE. But in RvR people seem reluctant to invite one into the group. It takes a bit of practice and higher RR to make that work = not something you will get in PUGs, I suppose. Mids are quite strong right now and they are quite dominated by tanks, which makes it hard for low RR casters in the beginning.

There seems to be a chance for the server to downgrade to the old RA system. Here Hybrids like VW or champ will likely be little less attractive for group RvR - but otherwise at least Champs are a good choice. Nice solo RVR chars, too.

a warden on live classic is very powerful, here things are tonned down quite a bit, viper 3 kills very quick and no slam means no cure besides purge... u also have to understand there are no castable in combat spells except DA endo and PBT, no regens and such. celerity wont matter much here unless u want to group thats where it truly comes in soloing your going to cap out pretty easy.
