Hi all, I'm new of Uthgard and I need some hints to start off.
I've played al lot in the pre 1.80 patch (Beta version - Merlin), but all the time on Albion (Wizard - Scout - Sorc - Theu - Arms). I've also played an Hero/luri on Mordred PvP server. Now I would like to start a caster on HIB, but I really dunno what kind of caster will be better suited for me. I would like to know what's "the best", or at least the "useful" for our Realm, Caster in a RvR Group. I would like to know, if u want to help me lol, what's the best spec at 50, and if there are some hints to level the char (for example different spec for leveling and respec at level 40 to be ready for RvR). Thanks a lot for the Feedback and sorry for my awful English. Best Regard |

Hi.
Could try Eld. Go void for leveling and respec to light at 40. Mana is only good at high RR. At 50 a good spec is 46 light/28 mana. Good damage and utility there. Or try Chanter. Mana/light is good for both PvE and RvR. 49 mana/22 light is the spec. You debuff heat and use baseline for very good damage and you have pbaoe. Need temp and some RRs for less variance tho. PS your english is fine. Definitely better than average here. |

Light eld or mana chanter for pvp, mana menta for pve.
For the love of god don't go void (eld) for leveling. Last but not least, all mage classes in hibernia are equally unwanted in groups so don't have your hopes up. |

void is very good for leveling. And in bgs its rocks too

I've been void since level 1 and it's decent for leveling. If you want to do group RvR definately go Mana as pbaoe is very useful, along with DD snare, if you like to solo i'd say to go Light spec.
Also i'd have to disagree with flamingfury about casters being unwanted in groups, Mana ment is much more useful than say a Void eldy in a group... pom is very useful. Also a mana chanter is useful for groups due to focus pulling with pet, some of the best exp can be with chanter pet pulling and bombing, this is where a mana eldritch can also be useful due to their bombing capabilities aswell. |

He was talking about RvR (Agramon). The world will look up and shout "Save us!"...and I'll whisper "NO U."

A few hints from me:
1. Most important. DO NOT create luri caster^^ Atm we have imba owning ultra 50% casting speed cap which means a luri with +10 dex will reach cap speed dd in BG with decent items... Elf caster preferably. 2. Eld. i dont know which spec is best for lvling so ^^ but. Most preferable rvr spec is 46light/28 mana (best dd, ae mezz, ns-no cure ns on Uth ![]() My notice: Light eld is totaly op. You've better make this char^^ Void spec is also usefull but you will lose ns or disease depending on spec. Since ns gives you huge advantage on your enemies i wouldnt advice this spec. Unless you want to stay in BGs or prefer only 50lvl rvr keep fights. Mana spec and eld... well... mana spec could be usefull in BGs but if you plan to play in Agramon better forget it as fast as possible. You wont make good mana eld without decent casters grp in Hib and since it's hardly possible to create/find such a grp i wouldnt advice it again. 3. Menta. 45light/28menta/rest mana is the only rvr spec if you plan to play in Agramon rvr. This spec works perfect with debuff enchi and adds more utility since you are another demezzer/mezzer in grp. Unfortunately mentalist lacks of other crowd control spells so it's rather hard to play in grp as only caster. 4. Enchi. 49 mana rest light. Nothing less nothing more. With no working pet buffs it's the only usefull spec here. For every caster: Dommel pom4 bracer or pom3 Sheroe hills belt is a must be. Quite good reason not to play a mana menta. |
