Hello! I've recently begun my adventure on Hib, and have to say I enjoy it. As of now, I'm level 13 on my enchanter and I'm already making a pretty decent sum of cash. I started off with 20g (generously donated by strangers in TNN) and leveled up my tailor to ~400 when I was about level 6. Afterwards, I brought my metalwork up and was left with about 2-3 gold. So, I set off on my adventure (still wearing crap for gear !) and began leveling. As I got to around level 9, I started killing badgers. These badgers drop a scythe, named the Scythe of Smarting. Each one salvaged for 15 quartz metal bars, which gives you almost 77 silver when trinketed. The drop rate is actually pretty common too. At level 13, I'm now sitting on about 70 gold. I can carry 200 bars before I need to stop due to a lack of carry weight. To anyone who is low level with decent metalworking, I highly suggest you make usage of it. The mobs are south south east of Tir na mBeo, and still con blue/green at 13.

You may only need 250 metalworking to make usage of this. Quartz is a tier 3 bar and 250 skill isn't very high at all.
