Hello,

I would like you guys to rate moon enchanter for pve raids (dragon, df princes etc...). Are they needed ?

Wait, you mean people will just refuse a moon chanter for df/dragon raids ?? It will be that hard to find a slot for a chanter ??

For organized, small-man raids yes, you'll struggle.

For mass-invite 'weekend' DR if someone organizes it regularly, sure, np - anyone can usually come to those but your chances of getting anything are very slim.

i intended to roll a char who could make money on his own, soloing or small man aswell as doing raids, all of them as often as i could.

i m not fond of animist (who can solo farm, small man farm, make all raids), so i figures moon enchanter could be the same.

a shame.

so for solo farming, small man farming, large raids it is ok but princes for instance, it is hard for a moon chanter ?

what else could i be to do all of this except being an animist ?

A friend of mine who is alb is rolling a necro to farm said to me he planned to roll a cleric next so he could do raids.

I tried to avoid rolling 2 pve chars and focus on one instead. By the time i achieve this all stealthers will be rrk8 and my NS will stand no chance lol

Problem with a caster like chanter, necro , sm is they offer nothing to the raid really. 99.9% of all the spells will be resisted.

Ani has pet spam, which reduces the abs / increases the chances of melee hitting the mobs, same with theurg with the added bonus of pbt and damage adds, rm depending on the spec damage adds/pbt. Those are usually the only casters you will see on a dragon/df raid.

Eld very rarely will be added to large raids. 1eld to 4 animists give or take... and thats for the the unloved void spec for body debuff. PvE doesn't need near sight

It seems except animist, the only caster with high chance to be most welcomed in ALL kind of raids (dragon, legion, df princes...) would be Mentalist. 1 per raid group.

But maybe i m wrong ?

You're right. Mana mentalist is pretty much a class you can't raid without. Pom, hot, additional heals. Enchanters and eldritches are not needed as they don't bring up anything utility wise.
