Yep, larger weapon bonus comes from damage cap formula which comes into play with both styled and unstyled damage, but comparing a 3.5 and a 4.0 weapon, the latter has a damage cap bonus of 1.5%. That's why i didn't mention it at all, imo it's just a negligible bonus or surely far less important than faster swings benefits + personal taste, expecially when opening combo has already be done (with slowest available weapon) and you must finish off your opponent with the aid of dot poison ticks.

Unfortunately people tend to freak out when talking about slow weapons damage cap bonus, as we were always comparing a 2.5 weapon vs a 5.7 one.

P.S. for Fabula: this might help you understand the spirit of my statement: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joke :D

the discussion was about pure meele dmg, and with CD the difference is not 1.5% but much bigger due to your swingspeed bonus.... anyway whatever.

slowest mainhand, fastest offhand for pa/bs. After that, fastest offhand + the mainhamd that lets you hit at 1.5. or very close to that value to make the most dps from your lifebane(use a weaponspeed calc, google is your friend.)
everyone who recommends something else is wrong. Don't trust the pseudo knowledge.
Use crafted dot proc weapons, everything else is worse

This Topic is really interesting so far, but I dont understand how a fast weapon inflitcs lifebane, does it pulse quite more often then or is it just the damage relation,- fast weapon= more hits = more damage in a short time for a fast fight, slow weapon more damage in a Long fight?

Lifebane reapplies with every hit, the initial hit deals the value of one lifebane tic instantly, the faster your swingspeed, the higher your dmg output if you swap the mainhand after every hit.
