Hello everyone,

I just found out about Uthgard yesterday (how it went undiscovered by me for so long is a mystery), and I was wondering if someone could explain the Guild and Alliance structures for Uthgard on the Midgard side of things. Such as what are some of the bigger RvR guilds and alliances and such. And if any such guilds do active recruiting and such. I'm definitely looking for a good guild as I get higher in level.

I'm an old DAoC veteran from as far back as 2001 and I'm so excited to be able to tap into that classic era of DAoC again with this server, but definitely have just gotten my feet wet yet again when it comes to Uthgard and want to know more! Any info would be helpful.

There are 3 or 4 major Alliances running around, though I only know of 2 (the one that I'm in, and the one that my cousin is in). That said, guilds vary widely in structure. Our guild focuses on getting all crafters, farming essential items for guildmates, and RvRing as a squad. Generally speaking, if you want a good guild, you need to search around for what you want. Do you want to be part of a massive guild where you could log in and always group, or are you looking for a small guild with defined roles? Are you playing on US primetime, or EU primetime? What class do you want to play, what can you contribute, etc. are all questions you need to ask before deciding on your home guild. From what I'm gathering, you'd be a good fit in the <Tyrants> guild, especially if you're looking for people who are still in the late process of developing. If you need any help in game, you can /send Lothin or my other toon Rendiviel and I'll get you set up with some armor/coin/SC gear, since I enjoy helping out my realmmates.

Thanks for the reply. :) This server has the most promise I've yet seen for a sustainable classic DAoC experience for the long term. I'm rooting for it and I planned to spam this server around to other forums I use to get more buzz about it. Hopefully Uthgard can pick up new to DAoC players as well that want a good PvP experience.

I'm glad to hear about major alliances existing, as it was pretty essential for information gathering in old DAoC. I happened to be in the largest alliance on Bors when I played, so I kind of took global information for granted back then. I could always expect to know what's going on server wide being in that alliance and it sure made things easier.

I'd definitely look to join an RvR leaning guild, but not one that is super hardcore and strict. A medium sized RvR minded guild with a side of PvE in a good alliance would be ideal for me I think.

I really dislike asking for help like that, but I might take you up on some armor/coin! I forgot how brutal classic DAoC was in the level grinding aspects, not that I don't get a touch of masochistic enjoyment out of it. :) Haha If you're on later, I'll check in with you! Much appreciated.

I leave work in about 5 minutes, and will be on my shammy in about 30-40 minutes. Send a tell to 'Lothin' and I'll hook you up. I can even offer you PL for levels 1-5 if you're feeling lazy, since I've found myself a decent spot to sit. Just let me know your IGN and I'll set you on the right course.

Okay sounds good. :) I'm EST so I'll be on in a few hours, when I login and if you're on I'll give you a PM! Lucky for me I telework two days a week (Thurs/Fri), so I can be up late some weeknights, it's pretty great. :D haha

Your search skills need work! How did you miss seeing the thread called Midgard Alliance Listings? You can find it here:
