Hi there.

I started as Hib in uthgard, because a friend told me to do so to play with him.... after a month, we played together for 1 hour... so since i've always been mid, i think i will play there.

My first though was starting as Runemaster , since that was my very first class, and i think it's a little bit less gear dependant.

Any advice or tip about a good starting class is welcome, since i dont know what is more needed.

Thanks in advance :)

You will never go wrong with Healer, Shaman or Skald. Needed in every RVR group. First 2 needed in every level group.
If your aim is to level fast, you will always have the chance to join groups 5-10 levels higher than you with a shaman, sometimes with a healer as well.

Supp RM is super relaxed, basically semi-afk group leeching because of the bladeturn bubble and in RVR quite good versus caster groups. Dark RM has lots of damage potential and the best damageadd buff for midgard.

Do you plan to focus on Solo or group play? PvE or RvR? Member of a small guild or a large guild? IMO, the answers to those questions will have a major influence on what class you would want to play.

I would like to be able to solo, and my final plan is to be able to RvR, doesnt matter if small group or large scale RvR. Concerning about the guild... I just hope to find friendly people to have fun with, cant go hardcore anymore as i used to be hehe

Solo will always be limited to speed and buffs. As RM, especially dark, u do good damage and also have a speed to get around. Better might be a skald tho, you can mezz, have speed and do decent dmg also. Both will be also welcome in group.

I would make a caster for a first toon. They are nor gear dependent, and solo or group well, the only thing you really need to get is a staff, which are fairly cheep in housing. RM all three specs are good, I prefer Sup spec for the snare nuke, and pulsing blade turn. SM sup spec is fun, you can solo 2 yellows at a time all day, great in groups, and really great in bomb groups, find a pac healer to duo with, and leveling is a breeze.

I've started with a SM cause u need only a good Staff.. played Solo 1-40 full Dark. With ~lvl40 i bought my House+Merchant and a few lvls later i was Legendary Tailor (incl. metalworking 1000+), SC 650 and still got some Plats.
Now i have enough to get another Char to Lvl50 with crafted and SCed Gear. :)

You just have to pick the right Mobs. :)

The skill doesnt matter, a Supp/Summ SM has to kill the same amount of mobs. Its is maybe faster with a Supp SM cause u can pull more Mobs at the same time.

I just started a SM, never played one before and went summ spec. What makes supp faster than summ?

Can't say something about higher Summoning Skills. I respeced with 40.5 to Supp and now with 50 i have 49 Supp, 22 Summ.

With full Dark i was able to kill yellow-red Mobs. With Supp u can forget killing ora-red con Mobs. But u can kill easy 5-6 blue con Mobs at the same time. At the right Spot with alot Mobs good for making Plats. :) And easy to get a grp (PVE).

stop beating around the bush and tell the guy who asked how you have so much money, that you got it from salvaging and trinketing the drops.

this is terrible, biased, misleading info.

Every Group (PvP or PvE) all "Generally" need the following classes with general spec's:

yellow end Shammy, Pac Healer, Aug Healer, Skald, Sup Runie, and a donkey.

p.s. ignore that guys take on Sup Runie. if you want to be a non-sucktastic sup runie....
you you dont go afk. you play the damn game. you got DD-snares, pbt, group bt, single target bt, Nearsight (if i really have to explain this, google it)

or you can be a bot.

the difference is one gets call-backs the other is avoided.
