Hey !

I played a 50 skald on Uth 1.0 and i loved it :D but it seems overplayed here, i don't want to struggle to find a grp.

On the other hand I've always been interested in playing a Hunter, but i read everywhere that they're underpowered at this patch level and get smashed by other stealthers. I'm sure i'd like the playstyle but i won't have fun if i'm gimped against my enemies.

What are your thoughts guys ? Thanks for you help :)

Honestly:

There are so many skalds, if you don't have 7 people you always played with you should play a hunter.

You will still have an easier time finding a group as a skald than you will as a hunter.

Players can greatly contribute to a server if you let them.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

If you will roll a hunter, be prepared for long lonely lvling sessions. Hunters are not welcomed much in groups.

Why is it that Hunter's aren't welcomed? When solo'ing, I feel like i pump out decent damage with my bow.

Well for epic mobs hunter are good, arrow miss rate is not so great as it is for meele and even damage is pretty more than average meele. As a solo you have to pay attention to assassins See Hidden RA wich spots you at long distance, but still using camouflage you're ok to go. Hunters at high ranks are damn good and powerful, fights will be good and funny.

It's funny, because with 99% quality bows and top arrows, you basically 4 shot any yellow. I never used my spear until lvl 35ish, and even then monsters die at your feet. I level my hunter 0 to 50 in 2 weeks, mostly solo, and it was lots of fun. Just have to pick the right spots and take some time and gold (35-40) to up 500 fletching.

Indeed hunter is very fast to solo level. I started two weeks then hunter and i am now L46. It needs good bow with right arrows and right monsters. At 20 you can also start using heal pet (arachine priest) and use it till 40. If you put it to passive it infinite heals you when your hp's goes below 50% and heal so long that you have over 50%. I soloed red ones beginning of 20-30 and just needed regen endurance.
