Hunter spec

Hello guys, i want to ask you a viable spec for hunter..
i read 42 pet, 35 bow, 36 stealth, 39 spear is it good? isn't better 50 bow, 44 spear, 37 stealth if i can have all buffs from potion/equip? how is here on uthgard the Sword spec? thx for help  |

I run the exact spec you listed first. 42 Beastcraft, 35 bow, 36 stealth, 39 spear. I do good dmg w/ spear, good dmg w/ bow, have high end AF buff and good d/q buff. I like it alot, especially if you run pots and charges w/ it.

can some1 tell me how is hunter sword here +_+?? |

Damage of Spear 50% strength 50% Dex Damage of Sword 100% Strentgh Dex is Hunters 1st attribute (+45 at lvl 50) and strength 3rd (+15 at lvl 50)..so normally more damage with spear than sword as kobold even more |

Specing over 35 (composite 51) bow in uthgard is pointless. U'll do almost the same damage with 35 spec than 45. |

45 is important for sniper... especialy for rapid fire 2 and better volley

45 is not worthless, but as far as dmg output is concerned it is. You will do maybe 10-20 more on cap dmg from 35-45 in bow. The only reason to go 45 bow is for rapid fire 2, which is the exact same as rapid fire 1 except it uses 1/2 endo per shot, and also for sure shot which is HUGE against a caster. Sure Shot cannot be interupted by a ranged attack and I believe it ignore bubble. Very big against casters, but how many solo casters do u see running around? For those that are, about 1/2 of them have a pet of some sort, and once the pet gets on you bow is done. You get 2 more arrows for volley, but once again, its a very limited ability. It has its uses, but I wouldnt spec for it.

I try just for fun 50 bow. I guess I will respec with 5L0.
I use a mp 5.3 bow. 1 Bowspec = 4 rising bowdmg cap (so far I saw on gray mobs). Sad is, that my ranger makes more dmg with 35 in bow and quali 99 5.5 weap than my hunter with a mp 5.3 and 50 bowspec. And I did not even mean the ranger dmgadd (even without he mades more dmg). As an addition my ranger is celt and the hunter is kobold with dex 3 ra(my ranger did not have that). I checked the dmg difference between a 5.0 5.3 (hunter) bow. The dmgcap was with a 5.3 bow roundabout 78 higher. Its seems, that the fact, that my ranger wears a slower bow 5.5, cannot be the only reason that my 5.3 50 bow hunter makes lesser dmg. |

Check your final dex after self buffs with ranger and then with Hunter.
After this try a faster bow on ranger (dunno if there is same speed possible to craft) Then compare damage on same target with same arrow type. There is no reason dmg on ranger is higher, and i really doubt it. What really increase dmg is dext, lot more than 35+ on bow skill On my infi i got hit really hard from hunters, they just have usually faster bows,... ---------- UTHGARD 1.0 ------------

I agree with Drawstab 100%. Playing Norse hunter here and I would say bow dmg is pretty much what I expected. I do less then I did on my ranger, but I also am using a .2 spd slower bow on the ranger AND my ranger has about 30+ more dex then my hunter does.

My kobold hunter has 304 dex with selfbuff and dex 3 ra.
My celt ranger has with selfbuff (he has no dexra) 268 dex. Ok I have to farm in hib a little. No money anymore to test same bow =) Results will follow in the next days^^ Well, I made a just for fun test. I have not the same bow atm but I tried the same mobs. And what a surprise, the hunter made really 100-130 more dmg than the 35 bow ranger (without dmgadd) on the excil aggres.. mobs /hadrian front of hib wall. When I have money in hib i try 50 bow ranger + same bow then i compare it |
