I noticed it seems that this server runs a bit past 1.62, so my question is.. Is a Berserker even worth playing? Is the full blown left axe nerf in effect on this server? I LOVED my zerk back in the day until the fateful day when zerks got bent over and ... yea we all know what happened then after we heard the zipping noise... I'm hoping beyond hope that Zerks are worth while on Uthgard, so would anyone be able to enlighten me as to how useful Zerks are, and if they can still do any semblance of decent damage like they used to?

I would LOVE to be able to play a Zerk here on uthgard, but I don't want to be setting myself up for major dissapointment if they're as bad off as they were post-1.62. I'm worried because without ToA which helped balance out the LA nerf, I felt completely worthless on my Zerk after 1.62.

I've been using the search feature to see if this has already been answered, so I do apologize if I've missed where this might have already been answered. Thanks for your time!!

Sure, they are the main melee damage dealer on midgard, better than savages (because bersis halve blockrate and savages dont).
Roll a Troll Bersi with at least +10 str and have fun.

Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply. I was considering doing a dwarf zerk though, as to be a little shorter in stature so I'm not a beacon of "KILL ME FIRST" in rvr... Thoughts?

Go Troll. The difference in Strength is huge and you won't be first target unless you overextend or something anyway. :D
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt
[3:11pm] <Frosty_> then why does austerim suck
lordgriffon wrote:Oh by the way... ever seen a group of 8 smite clerics? Or play against a group like that? I have. Absolute devastation. The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!
