Hey all, I'm just looking for someone who won't get annoyed if I send them some Moras questions. I posted a thread a few days ago about returning after 2 years at 45. A few days later I'm almost 49 and ready to start working on a cheap Skald temp. I quit Live DAOC before SC and all this complicated min/max stuff, so I'm definitely going to have some questions so I don't screw anything up and I know what I'm doing when I hit up a crafter.

For example, in the stickied template thread, the temps that people post for 99% L51 chain (arkanite heavy starkakedja) shows 32 imbue points, but my Moras 1.74 says there's 28 imbue points available. That's one thing that's kind of perplexing me and preventing me from going forward with setting up the temp, so if someone knows why there's a discrepancy please let me know! I copied a chest piece from a posted temp exactly and it's saying there's a 30% chance of overload. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I assume it's bad. If someone wants to volunteer to answer questions either in game or through PM here that would be excellent . Name is Rahnza.

(Or if someone wants to actually figure out a cheap temp, although I realize it's annoying and I don't mind doing it myself once I figure out what I'm doing. I did manage to come across a Dragonstorm and Bloodbound Totem, so I'd like to use them in the temp. I also have the diamond DF neck and Alifa Tajendi cloak. Also have a Band of Ice and 2 Rigid Wight Claws, but not sure if they're good enough to use in a finalized temp. Have a set of 99% L51 chain, but might sell a piece or two for MP if it's absolutely necessary. I don't have a fortune to max everything right now, but I want to start working towards improving gear step by step as I gain money daily.)

you can overcharge up to 5.5 points so 28->33.5

Also a lot of temps are created using an incorrect version of Moras.

for our patch settings 28 points is the correct amount of imbues a 99% piece can have. Also bear in mind that a 100% piece has 32 imbue points. Then stack on top of that the 5% overcharge that has to be applied by a LGM SCer.

My Skald uses a cheap 99% temp with only some missing Battlesongs and a bit ox Dex, and i dont have much trouble killing folks.

although i'm no hardcore Min/Max RVR analist like some around here.

to make a full cap template you will need much better drops for sure

You can always SC a crafted weapon with similar stats, probably minus a few % on resists and hope to get Dragonstorm some day. Not sure how likely that is tho. Personally, I wouldnt put anything into a template that you don't have or aren't 100% sure you wll get.
