However, I can't believe the level 30 Commander hasn't been implemented tho... its a 82% or 85% of level pet and could help some in leveling, and maybe be somewhat useful in inturrupting castors in PvP.

I know a developer friend of mine who is playing here looked over the source code from DoL and says most of the pets are in there and seem to be implemented... I guess my question is, if they want this to be more like Classic DAoC maybe they should finish all the classes.

/shrug

Maybe we would have better Keep defends if we had a few bone army Bonedancers to help out,
We sure need it after the new RVR system!

Uthgard ONLY runs on its own created codes / DBs - never anything borrowed / taken / stolen / etc from other coders

therefor even if X thing has been made before Uthgard does it themself to be as precicely as possible + to avoid bugs others code might bring

It wasn't my intention to insult anyone so if I did I apologize.
I realize how much work keeping this going is, as your efforts show in the # of players you have.

But I do think Bonedancers could be more useful to Midgard with the pets :) Especially Bone Army + Keep defense. I also realize its a tremendous amount of work getting them to work correctly with Weapon changes and everything else that they do.
Multiply that out by 7 (2 for each spec line plus the end commander)...

I can also appreciate keeping everything "in house" and original, which probably attests to your more stable environment.

Anyways...
Thank you for reading :)

there should be no discussion about it . a couple spells aren´t implemented for some classes and they will be implemented sooner or later.

but they are usually not 100% done when you first throw them out. -> see cabby/ench/sm/theu/animist pets.
there shouldn´t be a problem with that , just gonna get tweaked till they meet the standard.

i gotta say a 50% working spell can still do more than a non-available one (-> bombers are bugged like hell , but at least i can cast em).

so if you aren´t sure about delves etc just implement something to work with in the meantime - even if its worse than it should be - its still better than nothing.

don´t get me wrong here , i´ve been playing for years here now for a reason :) and i really apreciate the hard work behind it.

8 months have passed since my original post about the not implemented bd pets.

I understand that now it will be even less possible to implement them, with OF and all, but you had several months in between you could have done this. Plz don't see this as flame towars the staff, but more as 'wondering why ...'.

Also the not implementation bugs me for the fact that all other realms have their pet casters fully implemented and ready to annoy tanks and other non stealthers or kiting chars.
(eg shroom camps on bridges or other stronghold points, or theurgs casting a bus full of pets and then run away @ their +154% speed)
While the bd still has to do it with his staff, commander and if specced sup, lifedrain.

I hope that after OF implementation this finnaly comes up first on the to do list, instead a new quest or etc.

Sincere greetings,
Arnius

locked

staff is doing this on their free time

you have no right demanding anything towards implementations or what so ever

be patience and wait

if you wanna help implementation of the pets go test on live how they work and bring the staff something to work with

untill then

enjoy the game as it is and let staff work in their own paste and tempo and own priority ..

enjoy
