True, you're right. I won't deny that this can be annoying when people do not have huge guilds or alliance channels to state that they are LFG for another toon. However I am afraid that any attempt to fix this with a tool out of the game will never be satisfactory since it will inevitably be used by only a small fraction of the players currently in game. May be better than nothing I guess.

For RVR grouping, lately I noticed that there was a RVR BG every evening on Midgard, and it did not mean they were zerging, I believe it was just for communication purposes. Wouldn't '/bg groups' and '/bc LFG' in addition to /lfg work?

You are so insane... LFG tool is total!!! crap, give us back the /lfg channel and noone need to use the discord.

Of course, the Tool working, but to be honest, thats not everything that count. And there are some reasons, why nearly nobody will use this tool. I am use it and found 1 Player onetime.
The lfg tool is not flexible as a lfg-channel would be:
1. The lfg-Tool cannot promote zergs or smallmen or 8v8, it just can promote RvR
2. The lfg-Tool cannot set raid-appointment (for example: Dragon-Raid in 2 hours)
3. The lfg-Tool cannot used for intel to inform the realm or coordinate a keepraid
4. The lfg-Tool cannot used for levelzergs

This list get extended by time, i´m sure there are other lack of utility.

On the other side, Player start to create their own lfg-channel substitute, and thats not under the control of the staff. Player can make meetings for duels in lost corners somewhere in the FZ and staff cannot enforce the Uthgard-Rules, because no identification of the chatting persons.

So in summary, on my position, there are a big need for a lfg channel.

The problem I see with subchannels on the non-official discord is organizing the verification process across the realms.

The missing LFG chat ingame would be the best solution, after that I see realm-internal-discords coming - and irc is dead anyway; after a recent netsplit, which kicked off all idlers, the people in there are 80% devs and 20% ppl who come to complain that someone stole their milk bottle and then log out again. I'ts Saturday and there are 21 people in irc now, 10 devs and 11 idlers, some bots. Hib discord seems to be the most active, people on that realm seem to really use and like discord, 180ppl online, and mid discord about 90. Lot of people have been registered but either don't open up discord that often/don't have it in the windows autostart, or don't play that often/stopped playing.

not sure if alb has some similar kind set up.


on a side note, the unofficial community discord in my signature has 100 ppl online currently, 400 registrations.

Well, what do you expect without a lfg channel? It's inconvenient for me to send tells to 50 people asking them if they have room in a group / would like to start a grp, etc... You can stay true to your precious 1.65 dream world, and still give the casual player QOL things to help them along their journey to becoming effective lvl 50 rvr death dealing machines. This is your baby...your rules...you da boss, but at some point youre going to have to recognize the dwindling numbers. Give us a trade and lfg chat. You want more RvR, then give us realm points for taking keeps, repairing doors, etc. Dont get me wrong...I'm enjoying my time thus far, but ffs...do i really need to ride from one end of the world to the other to click on an npc? (Epic quests) I'm quite familiar with the layout of the land, and dont need to spend countless hours riding a horse around the world for these quests.

Simple QOL issues. We're not asking to be handed an instant lvl 50. We're not asking for a change of content, or special items. I dont see this to be unreasonable. Alot of people simply dont have the time like they did years ago. Help us, to help you. We dont like seeing the population getting smaller and smaller either.

- Not everyone is using the LFG channel
- Low-levels have a hard time finding a group
- Trade channels
- Have a global chat! (since the devs don't wanna give it to us )

Verification
You need to contact me ingame with you discord name in order to be verified, otherwise you won't be able to speak/read/use voice. This is to prevent x-realming and to be certain we have only Mids on discord.
