I haven't played my 45 Skald in about a year. I'm using mostly DF stuff and random jewelry items I picked up from dungeons. I'm wondering where a good spot to solo for some cash would be. I'd really like to be able to upgrade my gear so I can hold my own a bit better in Thidranki. I was checking prices at housing, and I might be able to afford a full set of L50 99% chain, but that would leave me broke for SC.

Hey :) Raumarik is a good place if you're alone.
Otherwise, TAJ2, DF or some named are really better but u need a group.

And start a Tailor ( cheapest than weapon or armor crafter ), it's good choice for earning a lot of money easily thanks to the salvage.

Farming money has nearly disappeared from Uthgard. Other than salvaging and going on epic raids for hours your chance of making enough loot drops to make a serious dent is nearly impossible. Though good luck trying my friend. You can always look for the kindness of a stranger to help you. There are now only 2 classes on Uthgard now...Upper and Lower.

Well, not quite. I did RVR in epic gear until I had the funds to get template done.
And gear is not everything, unless you solo ofc :p

These last two days we grped a lvl 49 cleric that only wear drop items. That player was very good at what he was doing, you could not tell hes not 50 or was fully spellcrafted.

Just saying..

Stormus is right. Focus on having a good time. Money and gear will come in time.

You have to be 50 to get epic armor right? I think I'm just trying to find a way to stand out from the 5,000,000 other Skalds in my level range.

Yeah, 50 for epic.
But skald epic skin is one of the most ugly of all other epics.

as said before.. focus on enjoying the game. but if you are that hard up for funds, aim for putting a 3 man grp *can do it with 2.. just more simple with a skald* warrior and shaman and go molest yar for a few hours and sell his bracers.

even if its tradable, it got a level 50 requirement, old epic dont have it, but since some year they got the requirement level 50
2012:<@[Uth]Abydos> If we don't have SI by the end of the year, Im fairly certain I wont be a GM anymore :-p
