Hey guys!
I have been thinking of rolling a hunter hence i have some questions:
1) Do hunters actually perform better? I have read some comments which say that hunters are in a bad shape at the moment. Is this still the case?
2) Do hunters still use the old archery system? xD
3) What are the realm abilities of hunters? Are hunters able to use Physical Defense again?

Thank you for answering those utmost important questions ;)
Good afternoon everyone

1. can't answer
2. yes
3. yes (its the old RA system as before the new archery system ie. you have PD)

If you like leech hunter is your class in uthgard. If you want 1vs1 will be waste of time.

i was thinking on a 1 vs 1 or just some stealth action with a mate...was wondering too if a hunter could perform very well with pd4 or so in melee...does the old pd ability differ from the "new" one? i heard the old one was calculated in another way. any info on that?
thx for your answers.
greetings

PD calculation..

you get a hit for 100 damage
you have 26% resi against the damage you take

so you calculate:
100 -26% (26) = 74

and now the 74 damage you get after resi is the base for PD
exsample: you have PD5 with 28%

so you calculate:
74 - 28% (20,72) = 53,28 ~ 53

so from the 100 damage you got you lose 53 after resi and PD.
hope i could explain it understandable.
so PD is a mighty RA for an archer, no doubt.
but if a hunter is good for 1on1 is a thing everyone has to decide himself..many will say no, some say yes..go try if it is what you seek.

if you want to have fun dont play hunter...

with mos 4 i start with critic shot vs ns/inf for 500 demage, then they come to me, and kill me, and i have 50 spear.

if i die starting with criritc shot, when i dont start with bow i rel automaticaly

ranger in melee own me

scout if i dont have purge up own me

other class own me...

if you want to kill somenthik in solo roll another class...

edit:

1) Bow demage is lower then live server
2) charm don't work
3) Pet is broken and do 20 dmg... if he hit!
4) with 50+14 spear dex/qui charge dex pot str/con pot str pot enemy evade me 4-6 times in a combat!! + low speed weapon you are a dummy!

Yes in 1vs1 against assasins you will get stunned&evenomed and your hits will be evaded. So you won't have fun.

But, you can have fun when you spec
50 spear
50 beastcraft
~27 bow
~10 stealth
--
MoS4
Purge
MoPain3+
PD3+

,build a smallgroup with something that can heal and something that has speed, and go hunting assasins.

Hib stealthers are known to zerg the most. Tug only can make rp this way.

Please try to avoid statements like that. All it leads to is bad blood. I have actually had very decent 1on1 fights with him back in NF (haven't run into him yet since OF was released), but back to the topic:

The realm with most of the active stealthers in high-level RvR seems to be hibernia, I must agree.

I died a lot versus Tug, and he was almost always solo.
So i don't think he can only do rp by zerging :p
Poulivore : Weak Singer
Maelig : Endangered species

Alright, that's enough about Tug, let's get back to hunters, since the "stealth action" question has probably been answered by now... :)
