Noob! Maybe stop spread false informations if you have no idea. The only two reasons why ppl. like you run in grey armor is a: missing ROG system or b: you just have no clue where you have to look.

Hint @ Nezix: Cursed Tomb (lv. 16-25) in Gotar, you can farm full sets of chain, cloth, lether and studded armor. All types of dropweapons with lv. 20 heat DD proc (Draugr Commander Axe for zerk in your case), Trapped Spirit Shackle bracer which fit to your level and much more.
Sure, it takes a bit, but u'll be full equiped with yellow/orange Armor/weaps to go DF with 25-30.

greetings

Thanks for that tip! I'll check it out after work. Hopefully stuff drops more often than Nisse's

I dont care as an old Mid player. If you play several realms, you have to deal with less knowledge, especially if you never played live.
If someone ask for advice in mid and you have trivial knowledge, just dont waste your time with improper disclosures.

[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> You have to be a c*** to be awesome at daoc
[3:10pm] <myrmidon^> that's what I learnt

The group that runs up against them can't kill them fast enough because smite clerics have sooooooo many tools at their disposal combined with decent ranged damage with 8 of them dudes doing it!

I never said they were nerfed, just that they were terrible. Someone else mentioned the nerfed stuff. ;)

Actually I said they were nerfed, and the GM's DID nerf alot of the drop rates. Blue stated above that he wasnt aware of any low level loot changes so it was a simple misunderstanding. Now back on topic. :)

Berserker questions:
1) Pros and Cons of Axe vs Sword? (I plan on a split spec with one of those + hammer as most people here do).

2) Are the growth rate numbers in game accurate? I'm only 17 right now so I can't even see them all in game yet.

2a) Which anytime do you prefer? Ravager chain, Snowblind, Doublefrost or something else?

3) Preferred back-style for DPS? Snowsquall or Conquer if using hammer and wanting a snare? Is there a large damage difference or would you always use Conquer when using a hammer?

4) Preferred side-style? Not many options and except for Axe they are fairly low in the weapon lines.

5) Weapon speeds? It's been a while, I think I recall that on live players typically go as slow as possible for both main and offhand. But I have a distant memory of a time where the normal was to use a slow main hand and a fast offhand. What's the case here on Uthgard where we don't have melee speed % etc.

Uthgard Questions:
1) Do dragon drops have weapon procs? What about use abilities?

2) I read some old advice about picking up Tailoring to be able to salvage metal and thus make some money (I assume for the ol Seals -> Gear -> Salvage -> Hinges -> Vendor thing). What's your advice on the subject? How much money does it cost to do that crafting? (pretty broke being brand new, so this may have to wait).

3) So far the two positionals I have (side and back) both display a V as though they were front styles. Is this something I can fix myself or is it just a known issue of Uthgard?

That's all I can think of for now. Thanks!

Almost everything was already explained to you, so all I might add is that I suggest armorcrafting over tailoring. Sure, one day you will have a tailor if you want to craft chain, but with making studded lvl 51 you can actually make some money, and you only need like 1000+ to be able to salvage everything. It's not that expensive to get to that level, just making studded boots/gloves. Once you get some cash, you can just upgrade your AC to max and you will be able to earn money, trust me. You will not instantly sell your studded stuff, but leave it on your house for some time and it will sell eventually, if the price is fair. Besides, you will always be able to craft stuff for yourself, and with studded it's often cheaper to make new armor than use cleansing stones :). Don't know what level you are, but hit me up in game if you need anything, I might have some old stuff. Send me on Ivann/Dende/Varrg/Valfarr.

P.S.

If you are into fancy ****** after a while when you get some cash and prefer sword as your slashing weapon over axe, you can get a basalt sword, it's 4.2 speed unlike player crafted 4.0 :).

A wolf was no less a wolf because a whim of chance caused him to run with the watch-dogs. Bloodshed and violence and savagery were the natural elements of the life Conan knew; he could not, and would never, understand the little things that are so dear to civilized men and women."
