Hello brothers and sisters,

i will return tomorrow to glorious Albion. I am not 100% sure which class is gonna be. On Uth1 i had much fun with my merc, but now there is no more charge (3), so i will not go merc again. Also another thing is my playtime. Due to some changes in my rl i have not the time to run almsot every evening like it was on Uth1. Most will be 4 - 7 pm EU, and at the weekend in the morning or afternoon. This will lead me to solo or casual-zerg.
Leveling will be not that much fun on any class i guess, but it was also not really fun in the Uth1 time. I am stuck between the decision between reaver and friar. I had a reaver on the old uthgard and it was absolute fun, even without solo-RA going AMG. Problem with reaver might be leveling 40 til 48 because i want full AT, but i heard ridiculous price for respecs, so i might have to take the free 40 respec. I also started a friar but then stopped when i realized it wont be my char in guildgrp (this was merc).
Another thing is, i do not want to farm high amounts of plats. I just want to get one toon to 50, get him temped and then RvR.

I hope for some input from you all.

Thanks.

I just made my 4th 50 on Uth 2 and it is a Reaver. I love it. Even in groups Reaver do just fine and people are always surprised at the DPS they can pump out. Soloing has been great as well with some buff pots. Skalds and other solo toons that you will likely see around melt like butter as they don't expect much from a Reaver or just don't know the class well. Also for ATing you can struggle through 40-48 with just your AT points in flex as long as your shield is high most groups wouldn't notice. Reavers DPS comes from positionals anyhow not from straight melee.

A question you can ask yourself is: What race do I want to play? If already it is not a briton then forget about friar
8)
Then for Reaver only Briton, Saracen, Inconnu!
Most reavers on uthgard are Saracen Males.

Do you want to be like every other reaver or not?

Both Reaver and Friar are hybrids, two other classes that I feel are hybrids: PALADIN or MINSTREL

Maybe check if you wanna try those classes too.

For RvR grouping:
Minstrel>Paladin>Friar=Reaver
Reminder to Self: Quality over Quantity, what is the Value here?

I agree with Requin, we lack mins, but I think nowadays friar are easily grped in pug due to Heat resist which can "counter" the power relic bonus for hib

Mins and mostly cleric have often pugs since they are often searched. ;)
