Quick question the last few times i have went 1-50 is on hibs where druids, enchanters, bards, ments get group everyone else is left to solo and a pitty spot every now and then. Is albion the same way or are they more dependent on tanks because they dont have a amazing focus pull.
Thanks TrailerTrash Armswoman Savior of Albion!

Well, Albion has amazing focus pull, either with cabalist or necro, or a combination of both for unlimited power. But that requires a good team and people that actually know what they do.
On the other hand, no matter what class (except maybe scout or infiltrator), you will have it easy to get a group in PVE, even as paladin (you will be wanted, believe me, and be forgotten once it's time for RVR, but be required again when it goes against the dragon, and then: RR5+ please, for mo-block, anger of the gods and other fancy stuff ... hypocrites, I know). In Albion, a nice mix of clerics/friars + a few tanks + a few casters = nice to level. In the end, everyone will get a group, either you build one by yourself, or you join one. Knowing good spots so people stay is the big secret. =) They're all so impatient these days. Albion Forever!

They have damage adds and pbt on theurgs and dmg chant on pallys, a good majority of albgroups are tank and spank, with real tanks. Pbaoe and focus pulling on alb is about as rare as tank group leveling on hib. Cab with the focus shield will opt to solo and aoe dot pull for faster exp than grouping.

95% of xp Pugs will be (or aim to be): pala + 1/2 clerics + theu + sorc + 3 merc/any other melee/filler
Sorc could be replaced by mincer (pom + healpet) but is less optimal Pala is a must have for endurance Clerics are must have, at least 1 Theu increases the overall dps a lot with buffs and the remaining spots are for melee Dps where merc is the best, reaver infi arms are viable, anything else is not too much wanted usually, they might still take you if you ask but they will be a bit "meh", and surely not be looking for you themselves This is what happens cos this kind of groups are easier to build, a merc joins a pala and they are already doing better then what they would do alone, then a cleric joins and they are a trio, and from there the group becomes bigger and bigger and they never stop pulling no matter who joins/leaves A focus pull grp is harder to setup, and less adaptable, if one class leaves they might have to stop pulling until they find a replacement, making the other path much more optimal for non-organized people This is what happened during the beta anyway, and this is what i would do if i had to form a party myself, which i usually do a lot, and tried many different ways, setting up a cabby focus with pugs never worked too well even tho everybody "knew" what to do so if you want a class that is group friendly now you have some idea. Paradoxxicaly enough Infils will have an easier time to find a grp then Wizards, believe it or not ![]() |
