Thinking about rolling a Saracen Minstrel cause it really pis*es me off, that currently you arent able to solo with a tank in any proper form and without an acceptable downtime due to the lack of money and gear. I also miss the speed of the hasteners on live.
I have never played and will never play casters or necro, so im asking myself how minstrel perform at the moment when it comes down to soloing?
The existence of speed and the ability to have filidh pets who can heal you up all the time really fascinates me and gives me hope that with a minstrel, in contrast to my reaver and friar, I will be finally able to solo the really frightening and uber yellow con mobs without downtime and can run around with speed and enjoy tasking

Any pet class has it a bit easier IMO. Grab a pet, and use your insta DDs.

Probably one of the fastest solo levelers if you account for kill tasking (although I guess that stops at 20...).

They can mez purples very reliably, 1h + shield with a charmed pet and they have regen song. I see them solo'ing just fine in DF all the time.
