I was curious as to why albs never do/try relic raids or boss raids in df. Is it because of the cross realm spying? Or is it that alb doesnt have the numbers or just simply too laid back to try for them? I would love to get a relic raid goi g but it seems to me that albs are big pushovers or they are afraid to try.

Organisation and leadership of relic raid is tough job and is not easy keep it undercovered from xrealmers. Feel free to organise one RR and you will see
DF raids (HL,princess,Legion) are done from time to time. But now in summertime there are better activities than sitting on chair and play DAOC.

I doubt u see a RR adviced in public chat in alb...too much xrealmers!

Remember it is summer Everything is a little bit slower at the moment!

About relic raids:
Besides the problem of x-realm infos, you need to be a well known guy on the server, in order to get all these groups going and listening to you. I cant think of many people being able to organize something like that... only Cruell comes to my mind.

DF boss raids:
Before I moved (goddam, still no internet at new house) I did daily prince raids as I love DF (setting, mobs, occasional pvp, nice money). But except for beli (nobody tells me setup for this one ) and legion, you only need a very small group to succesfully farm df bosses. Typical setup is pala/reaver/reaver/theu/cleric - anybody more => less loot. Even leaving out one reaver works very well if pally + reaver play together for aggro management.

So, if you only need 4-5 people, you wont take much notice in lfg about forming df raids... 4-5 people can be easily recruited from guild or ally - only then lfg is used.

If you got a good social network, even dragon raids can be done without much lfg - when Smokeys did his infamous dragon raids, the first time I read something in lfg was like "lfm dr 14/16 - need theu and friar".

On the other hand, if you do not have a good network, building groups is a pain in the ass. Building a group means lfm for like 30 min til you get some peeps together.. zillion of sends, "I log when you are complete - pm me on alt xy..." bla bla... then after 30 min realizing, that half of the group drops out, cos it takes too long to build complete group.

Thatswhy I only do raids with 5 peeps, of which I can recruit all, or all but one from guild/friends.

Before summer "break", Plok did almost daily dragon raids, Svperdvper did almost daily legion raids....

So you can't say "Alb do no raids"

I guess what you say is true. I have a poor network i guess cause im always back n forth between games even though I've been playing since 2008. And i guess I've never noticed that many raids because of it. But lately I've been grouping alot for keeps and i see how big the population is. Just want to get in on some RRs and df raids.

I think, if Cruell decide to lead RR, ppl will follow him. I dont see problem in it.

Cruell has lead Relicraids since most of the players here were just a sticky stain on their parents sheets - so - if he wanted to, ofc he could. But many alb players dont follow directions well - they are afk or dont pay attention: chase enemies when told not to - dont push when told to etc etc: I think thats why many of us do not bother w leading RR for Albion anymore tbh.

Imo was the first time Albs raided a relic with real tactics. Especially ram controll / building was super slow in Albion before mighty Mascherano gave some hints, how to do it.
