Was wanting to know if dual auto training slash and chants is worth it for a paladin. If not whats the best way to go for a final spec. Would like to see some specs if anyone would help, im level 5 and debating on trying to push myself to auto train chants since its a big portion of what people want in leveling groups. Thanks

Autotrain
[x] Yes [ ] No |

Don't at on chants its just not worth it, cause no one will group you.
But autotraining slash is easy since crush is way better to lvl with anyway thanks to the low endu taunt. Anyway my paly is thrust spec for the snare style: 46 chants 44 thrust 42 shield rest parry |

^ DO NOT TRY TO AT CHANTS. IT SUUUUCKS. |

It really was not that bad for me to solo grind my Autotrain Pally up (Didnt even have crafted gear)...
I process to 48 simply went like this: Find some remote camp full of CampBonus, pulled, alt-tabbed, n' studied for exams~ ![]() If you are going to go it, do not expect to find any groups (Beyond Level 10ish) throughout your AT journey. Even if you say you are "LFG", the first question from any group leader would be "Are you autotraining?". My final spec is something like: 46 Chant 44 Thrust 42 Shield 4 Two-Hand (RearSnare) - Rest Parry "It's not fair unless I'm winning!" |

AT as long as you can bear it.
Absolutely AT slash to 48 there is no reason not to. AT chants as long as you can. ATing chants till 24 costs you almost nothing (grey endo is useless as it doesnt stack with tireless, green endo sucks so bad you will never miss it). If you can hold out till 32 you are even better off. or man up and go all th way to 40, saving yourself a respec stone. It really sint all that bad to AT till 40. ATing 40-48 takes a level of comitment few possess. exp groups demand endo, and it is a big deal if you cant deliver that. but again, go as long as you can. if you can even survive the 40-44 range, tis 11 more AT pts in the bank for life. if you quest or taj another level or two of that, it can help cut down on the pain. but mostly you will miss having decent groups in the BGs. ----------------------- Personally, I only made it till 40 ATing chants. It was all i needed for any possible spec I could think of, so I opted to stop there. |

My pally is all the way AT, man that hurts but it is doable. To be honest, yes i do miss the fun of groups but in the end i will have more specpoints to spend which is worth all the pain. What can be funny is when you run a group with everybody ATing in some way. Pallys, mincer and so on. A full group of Gimps can be real fun

Thats actually how I made the 30-40 grind ATing. I made friends with a smite cleric.

The level 4 2h style isn't a backsnare. It's like a 2s stun. http://daoc2.catacombs.com/cbuilder2.cfm?Paladin |
|
On live it was, here it's a 14sec rear snare. "It's not fair unless I'm winning!" |
|
yeah. and on live the 39 twohand style was a 27 snare. here its 12 lol. so even with 39 twohand, my pally uses the lvl 4 style instead. at first i hated the mix up, but it is really nice to have a low level rear hinder. it opens up a lot more specs to you.
