Ok, i was a little bit late to post my opinion about that farm-topic, so ill open a new one without any consern getting it locked or anything...

I do not see your problems!
I do play albion about... lets say about 60% of my playtime.
I do have several farmchars aswell as several normal chars.
So ill write you my opinion, well:

There are many ways to make money!

It doesnt stop with pve, by actively participating in rvr, its easily possible to make around 500g a day while having fun which is the most important point of a game!
In PvE, one could farm stonehenge or dartmoor for gems, which does no longer pay off since those gems are worthless now.
In PvE, one can (STILL CAN) go with a cabby and masspull blue mobs for gold/salvage drops. It IS possible to make up to 1p per hour there, due to cabbys masspullcapabilities.
In PvE, on can (STILL CAN) go to the frontiers, siege some keeps and then zerg opponents cleaning DF! Noone demands df fights beeing 8vs8, you can roll any 8players group with 32 40+ chars.
In PvE, one can (STILL CAN) get level 50, become a LGM and make craft for orders.... If youre good in talking, you can make up to 2p per hour!
In PvE, one can (STILL CAN) farm bossmobs in smallgroups and sell those items for good prices(not 15p, since its gonna last a little untill one buys it).

As you see, there are many ways to get some plats on close to any toon! Its up to you to decide which one you take, so stop crying about having 1 way beeing removed since its not gonna fell the economy any close to the way you describe it.

PS. Maybe ive forgotten 1-2 ways add em if you know of any more valid possibilities to get plats.

I have to agree. I've always hated PvE and could never force myself to farm, yet I had no trouble whatsoever to template and equip my minstrel by level 49. No, I don't have a full MP chain suit, but I've started collecting pieces and am not far off.

If I wasn't lazy as I am, I'd be crafting and selling potions for money. Right now my primary sources of income are RvR and an occasional dragon raid. You can easily do a few dragon raids and bid for respec stones which sell for 2p. I also spend excess BP on stones and then turn them into cash.

A friend of mine got quite a few plats by buying low on auctioneer and selling items for higher price, so if you know the market you can easily make your self a plat or ten.

I really don't do anything to get gold. I'm not rich, but I'm not poor either. Can't complain really.
