What do you guys think would be the best spec for a Paladin on this server? It seems to me, and to others, that the block rate might be a little buggy right now. I was going to do the 42 shield spec, because it makes a lot of sense, but I don't think I necessarily want to anymore.

I am thinking more along the lines of 50 2h, 38 chants, 36 slash, rest parry. What do you guys think about that spec for my Paladin? Would it be better than having a defense oriented Paladin that can't block because of the bugged rate?

50 48 29 14 or 46 44 42 6 or something between the lines. If you want to go 2h, then try 42 39 36 29 6, or 42 42 39 25 11, or something between these line, but slam is a must have for a pally.

Block has been fixed, even too fixed according to some people.

Oh and be sure to autotrain slash, just because there is no reason not to.

block is removed from the server atm, so shield spec is useless

So I don't understand what I should be speccing NOW. I'm 39.92, so I'm about to ding 40. I want to know if I should respec and go 2h, at least for the time being. If block is later fixed, I can always just go get a respec stone and fix eveything up... but is block for sure messed up?

Paladins usually lvl with 2h crush, cause the double AT (wich i still don't know how it works actually - i mean i have to grind 48 lvl w/o chants or enough to do a full respec after 48 to get my 12 pts@live? There was a poll too here, but dunno what happened after that)

Anyway if you are a highlander paladin you should try 2hand too, but need a bit more practice. (No, not for go with assisttrain and kil everybody) The reason the 39 backsnare from 2h. In that case he build like this:

With Dual AT

shield 42
chant 42
2h 39
slash 29
parry 14

I refuse to group a paladin that autotrains chants.

If you want to level in groups, you better train chants at level.
XP-Groups expect you to have high chants.
If you have no chants, you don't bring anything to a group, that another char couldn't do better.

Xp grp expect clerics for buffs/heal, even they party with smite clerics oO

Autotraining Chants is just like a Minstrel autotraining Instruments, you'll get very few groups apart from maybe guild groups who will take you out of pity. :D

Even without dual AT. This is the most reasonable pala spec. If u want go higher shield for the price of slash. Get a decent sc with +11 slash /2h and shield.

Nes: Yes 2handed spec working nicely, but on uth in the moment when you grab your 2handed sword you get tons of pms, like wtf no shield? No slam? No dpspala thx, etc.
