u have to use amber to recycle, is the pet that returns more pow

Ok then, but still with 3 spirit u dont get any additional power ^^

So you will need more spirit than only 3 to get mana
There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

Im tired to hear cabbys telling that recycle dont works and is better to sit to regen pow, I tried to do this and can tell u that is WAAAAAY faster using recycle. When my cabby was matter specced I had 4 in spirit, was going to spec like 50 matter/20 body/rest (4) matter, and the time to have FULL pow was like 30 secs. . .try to recycle with amber and u will see, u only need 13-14 in pow to start

you should keep in mind that some ppl are talking about lower levels...i think at like 20 or lower cycling with 3 spirit might really be slower or only little faster so regging is more comfortable...however, at level 40+ (prolly earlier) it is much faster to cycle even if you only have 3 in spirit...

As long as you have a decent focus on your staff and use the amber simu the recycling is definitively worth it.

While leveling, I had some point in spirit, and despite this, my recycle was almost totally unefficient. And i had a focus on my staff.
It seems that at lower level, it doesn't work very well. And lower is until ~40.

Let's assume you pet is full life when u start.
Reclaim pet cast time : 3.0 sec.
Summon cast time : 6.0 sec.
You need at least about 3 recycle to get mana back => 27 sec base cast time
And since you have summoned a new pet, you need to buff it (6 buff, 5x3 sec, and 1x3.5 sec) -> +18.5 sec.
So, by recycling, you need 45.5 second of cast.
Of course it's reduced by dex, but at lower level, don't expect to divide this time by 2.
And by the way, since you just have finished to summon and buff your pet, you are still not full mana (about 25% of power missing).

And It's in the better "condition", starting with a full life pet and a need of only 3 recycle. At lower level, 4 recycle is a better hypothesis.

Maybe some time ago, recycle gave more mana.
I remember a short period where u gained about 50% on a single recycle, just after the fix of resist rate of spell casted by pet. Was nice

there was fix some months back, where the cycling was corrected, so spirit-spec-cabas gain more then before, while most others gained less then before...wasn't induced by me, but i was quite happy about it :P

I am currently level 44 and working on a spec like 31 spirit and 44 matter. I have +11 spirit in template and +4 matter at rr 3 this lets me get full benefit from the lvl 44 heal and my focus staff.

I will say that since the change i have died like a dog. You know when it says this is your first death and ur xp loss is reduced? Level 43 mine said-- Holy crap you are a dumbass. Literally the healer kept saying that to me i died so much.

Players can greatly contribute to a server if you let them.

Uthgard, still the best server. Thanks, Devs.

on which mobs are u levelling? high yellow? orange? do you let your pet get some agro via focus-shield before doting? got any RAs? do you kite properly?

caba is not a dd-dd-root-dd-dd-kill char, so it takes some skill to level well, especially as a matter-cab :)

I'm going to try very hard to get a respec stone and go 46 spirit 11 matter 24 body after these changes. I love the spirit spec and am getting so bored with Matter. I think spirit is finally viable here. Its my absolute favorite for pve or rvr. Thanks staff.

Going back to my original question..is spirit spec as efficient as matter for farming/salvaging purposes?

My memory is becoming foggy since the last time I played my ancient spirit cabalist, from the live servers, but from what I remember, if you are alone, then the two are roughly the same, especially with Juggernaut on the spirit cab's pet. Debuff nuking goes a very long way and you never ever run out of power. This assumes that you are solo'ing without the benefit of buffs or heals of any kind. With spirit spec be sure to go at least 11 matter for the basic nearsight spell.

However, if you have a cleric in your pocket, then matter is vastly superior as the cleric will buff and heal your pet with focus shield running and you aoe dotting.

While on the subject of cabalists, and please ignore this if it is already planned, no rush, but I notice the following are still missing from cabalist pets:

Amber Simulacrum - Self constitution buff
Emerald Simulacrum - Is the 5 minute disease proc working? I think I did see that the dot proc was working.
Jade Simulacrum - Self damage shield (I know its inept but still, its funny, low priority really)

check my bug report in bug report forum for amber self con and emerald dot (disease works!)...feel free to like or, more importantly, bump them, so the staff knows they are important...tbh i didn't make a jade-shield-thread, cause no1 ever used it :P
