England wrote:In the time when i wrote this topic. I usualy spend 3.5 houres in organzising one dragon raid. It was a lot of work finding a second leader, anouncing the battle group, holding the raid, doing the auction and updating the scoreboard. Usualy 2 time a week.

Not to mention LDing yourself.

Also, 3.5 hours?! I'm not a DR leader, but from a fair estimate I'd say it takes 30-40 minutes of spamming for the BG, another 40 minutes to organize the groups and 30 minutes to split out the loot. So a total of 110 minutes of organizing if you do it on your own (should be less though since spamming for the BG isn't really :work:, but I guess it evens out with the order giving throughout the effective killing of the dragon). 110 minutes vs 210 minutes, something's wrong there.

I'm glad you aren't a DR leader anymore, from my point of view you were just screwing up that good group of people who put a lot of work into Albion.

@lintu and co.: Looking forward to your Legion raids and thanks for the Dragon raids so far. =)

Who has several times each week sacrifices his time for the community has from time to time a thanks deserves. the problem ... all see this as normality, say not 'thanks' and wondering if anybody lose the fun or has a problem (for example) with increase of the droprate...

oh my god ... the dragon drops a little bit less stones ... what a desaster ... the world goes under :wall:

people, turn off your greed and switch on your brain _and_ says better 'thanks' for the work done earlier instead to tear someone for a little mistake...

just think about it.

Chaapaai

ps: i say THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME to all current and former raidleaders!!!

Well, that's not all the truth. Of course we like it when people appreciate our work and thank us for it. But it's not right, that noone thanks for it. I have seen so many thanks for it in all forms: Forum postings, private messages, ingame-sends, battlegroup-chat-thanks, even in Teamspeak I/we got thanked several times (sometimes we do announce official TS-Servers for the event).

It's not true that the community is not thankful at all (neither that they not show it). It's a nice community that's worth the effort!

Indeed you got a point with your other saying though. As soon as there is a mistake, people stuck to it. England LD'ed. Oh my god, flame him! I wasn't there that day and I only heard sayings of some people. But you can't know if the LD was intended or not. Assuming it was intended won't make anything better. You are just angry that you had no raid that day due to that LD, does not mean it was intended though. Take it as an "accident", even though it ruined your dragonraid that day.

That reminds me on some months ago, when several people started assuming some leaders would manipulate the auction and stuff. Why? Because you did not win an item and maybe just missed it by 1 point? That can't be, enrage and flame all leaders. I'd like to tell you that this action almost destroyed the community back then. Lots of leaders left due to that issue. There were few DRs that time. Happily there still were some left to reincarnate the communtiy management. But I tell you it was close to the end, just because of some assumes... like about the LD of England. Might be true, might be not true, but don't ruin the community because of some things you can't even be sure about. Take it as: It was just unlucky.

Be happy together and solve problems with discussion, not with flaming and assumptions.
We are a community. The best one! Because we have cake. ;)

blue i am with you on removing all si/taj content with sc/alchemy
for taj part the items droped fom taj or totaly overpowered against the classic bosses(dragons-legion(even legion got crap loot))
for alb part a dragon gives rings caster staff cloth cap and that is all good then taj items(mabe equal not even good as well)
taj is boring (why do i waste my time on a 6-8 man place for pveing to gt capped templates)

i want classic feeling whre players with not caped gear running around using %92-95 quality dd procing weapons droped from df/classic/frontier named mobs(giants/gk/evern/glacier giant/princess)

for example i want to use dragon staff(which has uber stats as friar but usels couse to fast and got useles haste proc for a friar) couse it is %100 quality(which actualy the only mp staff in game-bedlam weapons were%95 qual and had 4 bonuses insted 5here)

now what i am using as friar is crafted(why couse i can imbu i can get mp damge bonus)
which makes classic feeling go away.

go for it blue i am on your back

Blue wrote:If it would be me alone I would remove Spellcrafting at all and set that game back before SI :P But this is propably way too much of classic. You would wonder how many classic drops we have suddenly make sense.

woot - yes yes pot removal!...sc is fine, but pots suck :D...though I used to play on live before sc was introduced, so i wouldnt mind if it was removed as well, even though my caby would hate it :D

and i dont think too many stones drop on DRs...finally it makes sense to raid dragon again for more ppl...not only for a few lucky ones to get a good item ;)

That you can't have, for it would a require a total reset of the server, and i don't see that happening

classic feeling through incomplete gear would only match if every players havn't had played daoc for years, back in 2001 is impossible because of this.

Furthermore, the few PvE you can get in homeland & RvR zone is really poor, hopefully Tajendi offer some other zone to feet when RvR is dead or broken by zergy action or when all other boss to farm are already dead.
