Hey folks,

Retuning player here, after trying all 3 realms I decided to call Albion my home once again so I have to start from scratch. My issue is picking the right classes that will help me along the way while also being useful and fun to play, the problem is that all my characters so far are around lvl 10 and with that limited experience it's difficult to make choices.

I don't want to make a Necro, I know how OP they are and how good they are for getting started but to me they're just wrong and since I'm not a hypocrite I thus won't use one :P I prefer groupable classes, preferably support or healing. Problem is that grouping doesn't seem to happen much and I don't know if that situation will improve at higher levels. So far my cleric doesn't level at all, no groups, and I refuse to go smite so even kill tasking is... tasking :P

So I have a few questions:

- does grouping improve at higher levels?
- what class, not counting Necro, is best to level up decently quickly in PVE with groups that will make me cash, is in demand for groups while not being #3453522 playing that class?
- which classes are in high demand at higher levels for PVE
- which classes are in high demand for group/large scale RVR (not counting 8v8)

Thanks for the help :)

I will try to summarize it all for you:

The Soldiers
- Armsman: Have to try to find a group have to craft armor/weapon every 3-5 level, I don't think its good for you as a first character. Although its very good for late game.
- Mercenary: Same as above
- Paladin: If you don't AT chants, but you AT slash (at least) you can find groups easily, and you can even get grouped by higher level character just for the endurance chant. Quite easy to solo. Only issue is not part of conventional 8-man groups in late game. Its good for PvE raids (dragon, DF, Caer Sidi)
- Reaver: Very easy to solo, similar to paladin but with even less attractiveness.

The Stealthers
- Minstrel: If you do not AT its very easy to solo (thanks to pets) and its very easy to get groups because you have the songs (mana/health/speed) EZ to find RvR 8-mans for late game.
- Infiltrator: Funny if you always play solo, the grind is long and you have to keep yourself well geared, i don't advise you to make one this early
- Scout: Very easy to solo if you don't Autotrain Longbows. Im am not certain about lategame for Scouts, it could be okay for both RvR and PvE but i have heard negative feedback mostly.

The Healers
- Friar: its a melee necro, meaning its a breeze to solo until lvl 50. You can farm easily, you can even join groups for buff/heal. However, almost zero lategame.
- Cleric: well you should find groups easily if you logging during EU 7pm-11pm. Its quite easy to level with a cleric thanks to groups.

The Casters
Wizard: You most likely have to group to level since you need mana regen (minstrel/sorc) best spec is ICE for dungeon exp.
Theurg: Easy to solo on yellow/oj all the way but it feels like a necro...
Sorcerer: Find groups very easily thanks to pom.
Cabalist: Easy to solo yellow/oj, or you can just farm like hell with dots, but as shameful as necro.

My best guess for you is to go Friar or Sorcerer depending on if you prefer late game PvE (friar) or late game RvR (sorc) PS: there are a lot of sorcs already. I would say friar and sorc are fairly easy to level solo or grouping.
If you want some level of difficulty I suggest Scout for solo or Wizard for grouping
If you want very high difficulty I suggest Infiltrator or Armsman/Merc
If you want zero difficulty I suggest Theurg/Cabalist/Minstrel/Cleric

Paladin/Reaver are just added spices
Reminder to Self: Quality over Quantity, what is the Value here?

Welcome back to Albion

I very strongly suggest you to get a necro 50/LGM tailor first, I though like you "no I won't make a necro" .Error
I regret it because here everything is ****** expensive due to necro so you need lot of Plate, also with necro you can exchange some PL. which will allow your cleric to level up more quickly.

Regarding your issue with grp, under lvl 20 it's totally normal to have difficulties finding grp because everybody is tasking, lot of people get PLed but the more you level up the more easy it will be for you to find grp. Regarding RVR the most three demanded class are mins/cleric/sorc so no issue for you to find grp

I will say - I think we need more Sorcs. Just an observation. They're useful for casters while leveling and can grab a pet for solo if need be - but they're sorely lacking in lvl 50 RvR at times.
