I am looking to play a Minstrel on release and would like to auto train instruments to 48 for the extra skill points. Is there any guild looking to add a minstrel into their ranks?

Dont be so mean. but i do agree - autotrain minstrel does not bring too much benefit for the group until they get at pets (skilllevel 6).

As a First Char i would not autotrain a minstrel. The few points are quite useless as minstrel. You will not be able to land the 44 after detaunt chain very often. And slash (21 sidesnare) is possible without at.

The only reason to at is if you are into pain and challenges. Or you've lost a bet against a very cruel person. Other classes benefit much more of their autotrain skilllines.

But yeah, whatever floats your boat.

If 8v8'ing the 44 thrust style is pretty sweet, you won't land it on tanks that often sure but everyone else is fair game. If you solo it also is pretty nice to use for kiting your enemies out.

You will probably have trouble finding a group that wants to carry an AT'ing minstrel to 48 when they don't know if you can play the class or if you will stick around and group them later. But good luck.

I don't get the hate post in this thread. Why come to my thread to trash me? Can a mod remove that post ?

Look I'm a new player to DAOC but from how I have played games - if someone came to me wanting to play the best spec for group PvP - I would add him to the group because he is willing to make the appropriate sacrifices early on to max / min his character for the guild.

If no guild wants to add an AT minstrel to their guild for the 50/44 spec I'll just play an easier solo class.

I agree with you, but you're not really the one making a sacrifice lol. The group power leveling you would be making a sacrifice instead of taking a more useful character.
