Main character is gonna be an arms, but wanted to have a second class to farm/solo on.

Pros/cons of friar vs necro as they are the two that interest me?

- Necro makes more money but a Friar can farm higher level mobs.
- A Friar can at least go out and PvP from time to time and are really fun 1v1 or in duo groups.
- If you want to farm with a Friar you will need to RvR a bit so you can get dodger III and MoP.
- You will need to template the Friar to Farm and PvP effectively.
- A Necro can power-level unlike a Friar

Personally, I would suggest making the Necro as they are cheaper gear wise, level faster, do not require you to PvP to get RAs that help you farm and they make more money but if you want to do some other things like PvP or group with people as well from time to time I would suggest making the Friar.
If a Paladin uses endurance chant in 1.65, and no one is within 1000 yards to hear it, does it make a sound?

Yeah Friar is decent but Necro is hands down the best solo farmer in the game.

Hey! Glad you find a new home in Alb, thanks for communicating with us and letting us know. Good luck, see you in the frontiers.

p.s. Necros can solo chain pull yellow-orange solo mobs assuming no bad resist streaks, cab is a better money maker though if you can micro it properly.

After trying out Necro , Friar and Cabby , looking for a first on account character to make some coin and such , the Necro is far superior. Maybe with some LW abilities and on the right mobs like pygmy gobbos , the Cabby would be a better choice. Friar would be a better choice for red + mobs .

I will be making Necro and Cabby , for when I fancy a change.

I was going to say the exact same thing with regard to Friar v. Necro.

To put it another way, necromancer will get you more gold but Friar will get you more glowy drops.

A side note: I remember the day when everyone was too confused about Cabalists to play them. Hehe. Now everyone seems to have one, shucks.

If you plan to farm, come join my Guild on your farming character. I have both slots open. Necro or Friar, and need both for farming, Caer Sidi and the Dragon.
