Hey, ive got a small question, is it worth to spec ice for rvr? like 18 for the bigger icepets before the cap ones? or is it useless. Do casted spells from icepets rupt if they resist?

Or is the common spec 40 earth 35 wind? or is 40 earth 35 ice as effective as the other spec

Thx anyway

I'm 40earth rest air spec but have heard that in non BG RVR that ice sub spec can be nice because of the snare..

I like my air sub spec for now atleast for the small mez but could see how it might not be as effective in end game (non-bg) rvr

40 earth 36 ice is a fairly common spec. gives second best earth pets that cant be sprint kited. gives 50 composite ice at rr4, which means you can baseline nuke overextended tanks if needed.

as for ice pets...
1) yes even a resist interupts.
2) the snare is very nice if the enemy is pushing you and you want to kite. the range checks wont matter, they slow an enemy down. and mixing them with earth pets on support makes them a real pain to clear.
3) the ice pets are not so useful if the enemy is running from you as they takea long time to cast. they will keep runnning and starting to cast, then fail due to second range check (which shoudlnt exist on this server but does.)
4) ice pets also let you backload damage on an enemy before breaking cc or jsut before they notice they are getting hit hard. cast 3-5 ice pets on a tank pushing in, he wont notice right away due to pet cast delay and also first pet not hitting for that much. by the time he seees hes getting hit a lot, he has 5 pets nuking him for 200+ a piece, plus maybe a caster assist nuking. dead tank before he can turn back. its not unusual for an earth/ice theurg to be getting as many deathblows as the mercs in a group for this reason.
