much handier to find the caster pets. Healing pets are great, but that leaves you staffing down a mob while being healed by your pet.
That list linked above is a decent start guide, but be aware that a lot of mobs on uthgard do not behave the same way. (i.e. priestess of purity who isn't even charmable) This is what I did for the most part, but do some experimenting, it's worth it. filidh for low level heals. Wind Mephit at 14/15 is a very nice pet (DD) ghostly cleric behind cornwall station are good arwanite shamaness at 34 (heals, buffs melee haste/str/con casts a spec dot) Isolationist Cleric at 47 (base dex, casts smite.. doesnt seem to heal Ellyl Windchaser around 47 (cold DD, heals under 50% on passive) |

Don't level as mind. Seriously, you might miss out on some groups here and there, but a 66/33 body/mind spec will level insanely fast compared to full mind.
Alb - Eternitys, Eternityz, Spectres, Prophecy, Phantasm, Swarm
Mid - Spheres, Cicada, Aalea

actually leveling as full 2/3 matter rest mind isn't too bad either. that snare nuke is very nice. Most of the time you will only find pets that can heal, so you don't need to have pets at your level. Pretty much every melee pet is nigh useless

As long as you're not full mind, yes. I will disagree with you on the pet part on one very major point. Something I did when leveling my sorc up (leveled as mind til 45 or so, mostly solo, torture) was taking advantage of amnesia. This is probably something most people don't consider when leveling a sorc, however, as long as you have a pet using it for this purpose makes it much much smoother. Start off by nuke pulling a mob, put pet on mob, right before the mob gets to you, start spamming amnesia until the pet is tanking. Move off and continue to nuke. For those sticky times where amnesia doesn't stick, put pet on passive, QC root/confusion and regain distance. If you have a healing pet and you get in a sticky bind where you've used your qc and can't get the mob off you, just sit still with pet passive until after healign awhile the mob finally switches to your pet. Now of course the above method of leveling requires alot of open area, this isn't something you can do in a dungeon/df. Alb - Eternitys, Eternityz, Spectres, Prophecy, Phantasm, Swarm
Mid - Spheres, Cicada, Aalea
