Sooo about do finish lvling a Armsman and the conversation of maxing quickness came up in the template. Some say forget it so your dmg is capped in frontload. Some say put it in so that you do mroe dmg over time.

I think you don't have to have it as it's all about frontload dps.

What's everyone else's opinion ?? :D

This is for a 50 pole armsman

depends on the weps/playstyle i guess

if you are planning on using the slowest weapons, youll definitely need qui and probably a lot of planning/mobility

if you will be using faster two handers, you can sacrifice qui and go for damage instead

thats my two cents

dumping quickness is totally stupid.
You should never do that. Only if you reach the weapon speed cap of 1.5 seconds you should lower your quickness but as pole arms, this wont happen.

Frontload dmg is worth nothing, there are healers out there that actually heal, tanks that guard, characters with defense like evade. You need a fast attackspeed.

the only way dropping quickness and haste and DQ buffs improves your overall damage is if you are killing your target on your first or maybe 2nd combat round. How often does that happen? If you need 2+ combat rounds most of the time, get quickness and haste. If things fall over dead first shot, don't bother, but I really don't see that being the case.

frontload damage is what armsman IS all about. So drop qui in your template, people saying you should keep qui in your template obviously haven't played an arms, or a 2h class on uthgard so they don't know what they are talking about.

Advantages of quickness in temp
- Less vulnerable to bubbles
- Fumbles, intercepts etc are less frustrating
- You will fire off weapon proccs more often
- Better at interrupting different targets if necessary
- Higher damage over time
- Less overkill damage wasted
- Better for spamming snare style or doing chain combo followups

Advantages of no quickness in temp.
- Harder for enemy healers to react in time with heals to the front load burst damage
- Cheaper to temp
