After looking through the previous posts it seems that even a small shield will block as much as a large in rvr against my guarding buddy. So should i go for small and use less end slaming, medium to block more if baddies attack me too, or large for higher end use but better blocking???

Im pally btw so end isnt really an issue, although sprint + slam does drain it and i need to stop sprinting to regain enough end to slam again...

whats your thoughts?

Cheers, Evad

for guarding:
shield size doesnt matter at all..means a small shield blocks as much for your buddy as a large or medium does.

for blocking yourself:
small shield = 1 enemy
medium shield = 2 enemys
large shield = 3 enemys
shows how much you can block at same time

for slamming:
small shield = fast speed, a bit lower damage, if you have a fast weapon as mainhand you might consider this shield..seems to be a must for speedrelated classes like reaver (slam-levi combo)
medium shield = medium speed, medium damage, good choice most main hand weapos have similar delay, so no penalty for follow-up styles
large shield = slow, but nice damage, follow-up styles from weapon might come a bit late because of the delay

all in all you have to decide what you need most of the listed arguments.

I use a small and large. Small for grp rvr (fast slams for paladin) and large for PVE and solo RVR. You can swap em out situationally too.
