Okay, I just got my Paladin to level 20. Perhaps I should respec? I am full Chants/Slash and mixing shield with parry.
I am Briton and I want to get to 50 fast! What would be a good spec for quick leveling? Thank you in advnace ![]() |

Crush > Slash when it comes to xping imo.
With crush go chainpull in df ![]() |

shield > parry. weapons should be nearly equal. if you started with saracen, eventually thrust would be the better choice. slash is autotrain on pala and should not be used, to get all at-points till level 48. if you stay slash, try to get the level 29 style. shields near level is very good either, bc you can guard your party, and will block a lot (after the recent blockrate fix). chants near level is also needed if you want to grpplay.

I'd say respec for slash and shield, for leveling purposes. You aren't going to do damage, really, unless you go 2h. At 50 my planned spec is 42 shield (slam), 42 chants (purp endu), 36 slash (+14 = 50), 31 parry. You want slam asap though

Slash is the one that has AT.
Rather go crush (also full str) .. I have a dual AT paladin level 43. And he leveled easy with 2h+crush till 40. Then i respecced to 2h+crush+shield( for slam 42). Still going nice. Thats works perfect if u have some SC with +x crush and +y 2h. Downtime is also reduced with some nice slashresis... If u need a complete Plate sc i have level 36% 99% for sale, for the tiny amount of 3p. Greetz Nes Inactive

If that's your only toon go full chants/slash till 29, then stop specing slash and dump into shield till slam. Always keep chants maxxed until 42+ (i'm going 46 chant). There are more drops for slash than there are crush, especially 2h crush. Drops are pretty much required for a new player paladin. Very expensive to buy gear. If you have a butt ton of money though, 2h crush all the way up will get you some very nice AT points. Once you hit level 6 you will have grey endo which will cut downtime. Later.
