Due to the activation of various BountyPoint Merchants we decided to reduce all players BP to 10% of the actual value. The change was made last night along with the appearance of new purchasable items for BP.

“Old” Main City Merchant:

- Single Line Respec for 2,5k
- RA Respec for 5k
- Full Respec for 5k
- Nereid Potion (20 Charges) for 40bp

Close to the forges in the main cities:
- All crafting materials for 5bp each piece (currently displays wrong prices but uses the correct ones)

At the border keeps
- Small rams for 60 bp
- All other siege weapons for 75bp

The following days will see the introduction of lodestones, level 51 base equipment and horses. The prices are quite high right now to check the actual BP value of the introduced items. The BP reduction was deemed necessary because we didn’t want to flood the shard with too many respecs and cheap items. Also this makes charges more expensive which makes the “all time” use of them rather inconvenient and introduces more tactical thinking for diverse situations. For expensive items we’re planning to introduce a dynamic pricing system. I might add once again, that the actual prices are not final and might be corrected downwards.

We know that you might disagree with our move and can partly understand your frustration. Still we deemed this move necessary. Note that, in spite of the current situation, we will uphold the forums rules. Excessive flaming and spamming will still be punished with bans.

Tomorrow you will receive more information on the upcoming RvR-Event next week.

This is so awesome! Take all my bps!! While you were at it you couldve restarted rp's too. And maybe also restart exp so we all start from level1. And full and ra respec for 5k bps? Thats almost 2 months of active rvring. Ill grind enough cash in 3-4 days and buy it from other player.

Did you also lower holz's and traxx bps? Cuz for example, traxx has 29k kills. If he got lets say ~10 bps for each kill, he has 290 000 bps. You took ~260k bps from him :) Awesome :P

I must say the unannounced BP nerf is outrageous. I could have bought approx. 500 recharge stones, the reason I didn't is because I was saving BPs exactly for those respec stones! I wouldn't mind this nerf but jesus ****** christ if you wanna be so harsh at least announce it. I was saving BPs for 4 months for exactly nothing, thank you very much...

And this exactly is the reason we decided this very unpopular move. Respecs
are the more or less only valuable items in game (besides item drops of epic
monsters). If we had not decreased the BPs the value of various items would
have decreased in their value to 0 and we are talking about respecs which use
to be worth around 4platinum!

About one and a half year ago we shortly introduced BPmerchants that sold
respecs reskins and some other nice-to-have things. Back in these days players
already had a lot of saved BPs. The consequence was a total deflation of
respec stones in the beginning followed by a drastically decrement of carried
out Dragon Raids. Two mistakes we did not want to repeat this time!

This decision was a hard step to be done in order to introduce a new feature
and all players (yes, even holz or traxx) are affected. It is extremely easy to
describe why we as staff altogether agreed to this step:

1) do nothing and let BPs remain worthless
2) implement BP items, but decrease players overall BPs in order to secur
the value of several items and to ensure the servers prosper by adding a
new key feature that is one step in the line of several positive features to
come.

Please stay kind in this topic.

you mean

a) do nothing
b) kick everyone in the nuts by announcing bp changes(causing to bunker even more bps) and then just strip away what people have been working on for several YEARS

way to go^^

i was not amused

So yesterday a guy has paid his houserent for the next year and still has 3k rps.

Now i can pay my houserent for 2 months and i'll stay with 0 bps.

Yesterday this guy had 40k rps i had 47k.

(Just as example, authors fiction, all rights reserved.)

Another great move of uth Devs.

this is a cool idea, but i do personally think announcing this to the community some weeks before implimentation would have been a little less harsh. give people a chance to get thier recharges and rent paid up, this would not have affected the price of RAs. i went from 99 to 11 BPs so i didnt lose crap. guess i joined uth at the perfect time.

:>

They are worthless now, SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANY ANYMORE.

This makes no sense. Working more should produce more but you just made everyone poor. Sounds familiar.

What you just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard.

Basically you're saying: As long as I had some I wanted them, and now that I've some less I don't want them anymore.

This makes no sense. Working more should produce more but you just made everyone poor. Sounds familiar.

Not true. Those who got more, STILL got more. The only difference is that the amount of more is different. What you're talking about is Oligarchy not Communism. What the staff did is the correct way to handle Deflation. If you have magically solved all the problems of modern 21. century economy, feel free to post them. I'll bet the economists will award you with their self-appointed nobel price for your solution.

You expect me to be kind after I got robbed ?

Robbery is the act of seizing property through violence or intimidation. More precisely, at common law, robbery was defined as taking the property of another, with the intent to permanently deprive the person of that property, by means of force or fear.

so you say for the poor, money is worthless because they don't have it? interesting theory...
and by the way, how can you get robbed when all this is free?

all in all i appreciate the step by the devs and think that it had to be done, since otherwise there would have been some heavy deflation on a lot of things in the game.
however, announcing it beforehand might've been the more felicitous solution...

why didnt you just increase the price of the respec stone?

it would even have been better.

now everybody will be able to buy respec stones if they wanna keep them BPs.

if you just increased the price of stones, the one that were activ in rvr would have been able to buy this respec stones, and the other ones would have to go to agra to get it.

i am sad to see that changment...i don't care about respec stones, i would even not buy them. But at the moment i spend more BPs in rvr than i get.

you can't be competitiv in rvr without charges. and some chars need 4 or 5 charges to play. so bounty points were a precious help for rvr...
