Sorry for not posting any news last week. We’ve been quite busy with creating concepts for some major flaws on Uthgard. You already might have noticed some of our attempts to straighten out the situation. One of these is the change regarding legendary weapons, which will affect all weapons in the next days. The XP spots in Agramon together with a zone-wide XP bonus of 75% were another efficient change. All in all we’ve now got some lively RvR going on in Agramon. This however won’t be everything.

We’ve planned some major changes to the HL and princes in DF for the next two weeks. These will include new, useful drops as well as a major overhaul of their strength. We’re also planning to introduce new purchasable items for BP. Those will probably include respecs, lodestones and crafting materials. Horses are still under discussion. We hope that the execution of the changes will take place in the next two weeks.

The next upcoming event will be the coop dungeon. The planned date is August 16th. The event will sport crossrealm groups against a mighty dungeon full of challenges and danger. The dungeon itself uses the map of Trollheim, albeit the worldbuild is completely different. This is something I’am especially excited about because the most advanced worldbuild and AI techniques for DOL were used to create this event.

Another thing that you might have noticed is my return to the staff as Administrator for Planning & Organization. Also Endiku has returned to his position as GameMaster, which means that we have been strengthened by two additional staff members. We hope that you are as excited about the coming changes as we are.

So while we are in the coopertive dungeon, will we be able to understand players from other realms? By the same token, are we able to add them to our buddylists and send them /tells? Would that only apply to the co-opertive dungeon?

Being able to communicate with other realm is interesting idea... high flaming potential, VERY high actually, but still interesting.

maybe that s the problem with people that doesnt do rvr... they think that they can be any flaming with other realms...

the people that would act like this would be only the frustrated people and i think the people that are rvring in agra respect each others. that s why uthgard is a nice server, we can cooperate

Frustrated or not, there is still high chance of flaming. We can indeed cooperate, I did not say otherwise, I mean that flaming and annoying are very likely to happen.

Aw I do not know about this thing of players respecting each other in Agramon... Maybe it is offtopic but since you mentioned, it is quite often I see emoting on defeated player, taunts on low con levellers, you get /yawn, /kiss, /taunt, /laugh if you loose fight. Man... sometimes on 1vs1 they even estop fighting and do /laugh or /yawn before the killing blow. Maybe you got luck and they do not do this or you do well enought on RvR for not being defeated, but I can not say I see respect very often.

Anyway... maybe I exaggerate, lets hope so if the communication among realms is part of the event.
