Dear players,

As you are aware we have moved over the estimate we gave you some months ago. We want to address this and give you an update on what we are working on. However before doing so we want to acknowledge that we did not meet our estimate and explain why. Unfortunately since we gave the estimate major housing issues were brought to our attention. The rewriting of the housing code has proven to be a bigger task than first anticipated which further extended the work we feel needs to be done before closing down the server and preparing for a release.

Now, onto what we have been working on:

Housing
As mentioned before we are working on rewriting the entire housing code, this includes reworking how inventories work which hopefully explains to you how big of a task this is. This is also why we can't simply relaunch now and open housing later on. Doing so would risk new duping bugs to appear after a relaunch which would be a big blow to the economy.

It should be taken into account that whilst this sounds like a lot of work is left to be done - we can happily announce that the developers can see the light at the end of what had proven to be the long housing tunnel.

Dragons and epics
Dragons have been sleeping for a while, this is because our main world builder when it comes to major encounters is busy with something else. And this task is epics, which we are close to finish for all classes. We are missing three quest lines (The academy line, Focus line, Rouge line (mid)), which is the priority at the moment. Unfortunately the main world builder has been busy irl and this has been slowed down for a while. Hopefully this will change soon and epics and dragons will be done sooner rather than later. The reason why we want this done before a relaunch, is because these are content that a majority of players will want to participate in when we relaunch. Not having this content tested and implemented at relaunch would be a blow to the player experience we don't want to take.

Salvage and the economy
Some players have noticed that some items salvage for too little, this have an impact on the economy in the game, and we are currently working on updating a majority of our items with correct salvage values. We are currently looking at updating about 8000 items with correct salvage values and sell values. Obviously this will change a lot in the economy and because we want to make sure this is not introducing a lot of money leaks, we want to do this before a relaunch so you have a chance to test it out.

Importing item drops
We are currently working on importing loot tables from the prima guides. While the prima guide is not perfect, it does show us some holes in our current loot tables and therefore we are spending time working out a way to import loot tables from the guides. This should hopefully fix the problem of lower level mobs having no loot dropping. While this shouldn't change much for higher levels and therefore have less of an impact on the economy. Never the less we want to do this before we relaunch so that hopefully new players will have a pleasant experience leveling up on a new server.

Minor issues
Specific developers and world builders have been assigned to these projects. This works best for work flow and quality of production, too many hands in one project can cause cross-issues. This also means that if you see minor issues being fixed it does not equate to these issues not being worked on. But this also means that if the main project developer/world builder is absent for some time, the project will move slower or halt to a stop for a while, but you should be aware that we try to keep these down times to a minimum.

Players should take note that whilst these projects are major; they are an essential part to your playing experience. We are doing our up most to get this work done as soon as possible and relaunch the server for you. At this time we do not project (though cannot guarantee) any other stoppers. Uthgard will be ready for yours and our enjoyment soon.

Thanks for the update. Any chance you could do these every couple of days rather than every couple of months? I bet this only took 5 minutes out of you day to write.

what are you gonna do about SI? templates came out with SI and were designed to be done using SI gear, using solely classic items will make it unnecessarily hard (seems to be a theme here Hehe Lol)

Thanks for the update

Why not just put housing on hold and add it after launch.... This way you could work on the other parts of the game and launch sooner.

Housing isnt even something that most players will be able to use or afford for some time after launch anyways.

before a relaunch is it fair to say that most of the legitimate bugs on the tracker will also need to be fixed?
