No info No Date stop Wait Uthgard not Re-Open ...

The problem I think it's there is no lead dev on this Uthgard team.

All do things they want with no really support from a lead.

A lead should hold his team and give task to all guys. It's seem it's not the case on Uthgard, and it's not on that way you will re-open the server, w/o a good lead who know his job, and DAOC in overall.

We have the feeling that 80-90% of the team is AFK and no one has the control on all the guys there are in the staff.

This job is on freetime, but it's still possible to make that better. We did it in a other game...

Abydos is in his fifth year as a GM and hence should get code access in about a year.
That should accelerate the developement

I have read many things about Uthgard and his staff over the past two years.
Especially words of disappointment and discontent with a product that is not as it should, but at the same time we claim "in a certain way."
I read rarely involvement from someone, useful proposals dictated by the feeling part. Only complaints from those who projects his expectations as a spectator. Let's stop thinking about Uthgard as a free shard in the hands of someone doing this without money, with love and passion, that gives us the opportunity to be just or in or out. Uthgard is our community, composed by the staff and the players, together! The point is that communities want to be?

Problems? I have been playing on Uthgard for the better part of 7 years. The only "problems" I have ever encountered are here in these forums, and a great deal of the public chat.

Oh yes, this is the grab bag question thread. Must stay on topic, right?

1) Will there be world chat in the game? Things like /lfg,/trade, etc?

2) Also, and I know this is highly unlikely, but will there be an rpfilter?

Heres my take on the situation:

Blue has been clearly absent from the project (you can see there is nearly 12 months without a forum post between march2014-feb2015). There has been slightly more activity in recent weeks. It is obvious he holds the key to getting the servers back up. The other GM's are trying, but what else can they do? I'd imagine a lot of the main code is in pieces and there is only Blue who can put it back together.

Rather than fanning around the bush, i'd rather get some truth about whats happening to the project.

Is it that hard for Blue to say, hey guys iam realy bussy and i dont like codeing atm... it will take 6 month more about ?

Nothing else to say.. we all would get it for sure.

Is that possible ? To speak to us... just a little bit clearly ?
