Important House Rent Payment Change

Rent will no longer be paid from consignment merchants.
This means you keep money in the lockbox to pay the rent for your house. All players have been given 7 days free rent to adjust to this change. You can use the /house command to check your lockbox. To deposit money into your lockbox, select the desired amount of money and drop it onto the lockbox, which is located just inside the door of your house. You cannot deposit more than the lockbox maximum. Use /house to view the maximum gold in lockbox for your house.
This change is effective now.
This change has been added to our
"Custom stuff on Uthgard" list.

thats not fair.
a maximum of only 12 weeks house rent in lockbox is less than 3 months.
12 x 7 = 84 days
a minimum of a normal 3 month period is 30-31-30 days = 91 days.
it ok to make rules which would terminate houses of inactive players after a while, but 84 days is a lot to short. keep in mind that this is a long time game, and a pause of 6-12 month due to RL things should be tolerated without loosing things, for which you have work very hard.
if lots are needed, first activate ALL remaining in the deeper zones lots AND terminate houses of permanent banned players.

Its not fair to log in once every 84 days for 15sec? Live is 8 weeks, so our 12 is another compromise.

there are lot of RL cases which cause a longer rest then 12 weeks, moving house, change job etc. a period of 6-12 would be much nicer.
hope you inform players via email about this change.
btw: what does happend to money in consignment merchant, if house is terminated?
the goods in your house and chests you can get from NPCs, and the money ?

Items in vaults will go to repossession merchants as they always have. Money on the CM will be lost.
Again, on live, as soon as you close your account you have 60 days to repo. We have no account closing here, so this is the solution we opted to take.

Someone takes a hiatus under the current understanding that his house is paid by leaving money on his CM to cover it. He goes to serve his country on deployment to come home and find that by following the rules as they were when he left, he lost almost all his cash he's been saving and his house.
I realize this is your server, but you guys are really harsh.

This change is pretty nice, finally more Lots in our HZs.
3 month are enough though.
Will there be an Email notification when its time to put New Rent in?

a more user friendly solution would be:
- lockbox for 6 month (or leave it as it is
- rent is payed from CM as usual
- terminate house after 6 month of not logging in

Yes e-mails are sent at rent payment time, 7 days prior to repossession.

If it is a concern, have friends add rent for you. There are house permissions to allow others to add rent.

Since the player council was initiated was this discussion brought up on those forums? If so, show the community who voted for this change. If they are to represent the populace maybe ppl want new representatives.

can't be...i just logged in an added money to lockbox, which was empty before...i only had money on CM...also the staff said, that they'll grant 1 week before the houses start to get repossessed...you gotta be mixing up something or maybe u just checked the wrong lot?
