After reviewing player feedback we have decided to offer exchanges for the existing Necklace of the Body items. Next week we introduce an NPC in the capitol city that will exchange your Necklace of the Body for the corresponding (realm fitted) new item with an upgraded charge.

Quest rewards and OTD's with customized charges will need to be identified and added to the NPC, so please leave feedback specific to OTD's and quest items so we can add them to the NPC.

What about those of us with items like Akars barrier, who have completed just as equally challenging quests and paid often higher prices for such an item, whom now face a huge loss and disadvantage?

I don't think just because you have had the best item in the game at some point means you should be guaranteed to have the best forever ^^

i don't doubt u put lot of work on get akkar for the good stats and the yellow s/c but u can't compare a 8men instanced raid to a 24men raid. Taj2 have no problems of repop timers and is a lower ppls raid ( --> lot more chance to get it while rolling).

Can't compare with Legion ... 24men rolls, had to w8 df open, had to hope no one have killed him before, and, mostly times, even don't drop the neck

i think staff taking the right decision ...

what about other items like, for exemple, Bedlam ring (alb side, yellow d/q charge)?

we must post on item request? or we must re-drop it?

Did I say my Akars is the best item in the game? Is this a topic about the best item in the game? I didn't think so. Please start a thread about that elsewhere if you'd like.

To get back on topic, and to further clarify, Akars Barrier is equally as challenging if not harder then legion to defeat and acquire. Why should players that put their faith and hard earned coin into an end game templated item, with an identical charge to that of Necklace of the Body, now be disenfranchised (MERRIAM DICTIONARY: Deprived of power; marginalized) ?

By denying players with an Akars Barrier the right to upgrade their item to the higher value str/con buff, you are disenfranchising all players who have put their faith, time and energy into Tajendi. I and a lot of other players are going to be upset if we are not allowed the right to exchange our Akars for a similar item.

If the assertion made is true, that this upgrade is about introducing patch appropriate charge values, then I would only hope to expect that you will treat Akars Barrier the same as the Necklace of the Body, as Tajendi has been the end game content on this server, not Legion. To upgrade 1 item because it is classic and not a 2nd nearly identical item because it is a custom zone, is to invalidate a very zone, realm and project that you have presented to players as end game content, only to later slap them in the face.

If your goal is to eventually phase out Tajendi and its items, then you should tell us instead of giving us the reach around.

Could a GM please respond to this? What shall be done to Akars Barriers owners? Are we merely disenfranchised players?

Are we players whose time and energy will be pushed aside due to the "politics" of this server (Classic vs custom)?

A GM response would be appreciated or any intelligent critique/opinions.

GMs already stated that no changes will be made to Tajendi Items.

To kill churiel you must finish Taj 1, temple, then get access to Taj 2. Then, go around collecting all the tears. Then, go and try to fight your way to Churiel.

Add up all the time it takes to do that, then multiply that by the probability of winning it in a roll, and let me know what you get. I'll give you a hint: it takes a hell of a lot more time, energy and effort than a 2 hour raid that can be done with 3/4 fgs who can easily be organized at a central location that does not discriminate against them based on completing previous steps (IE: taj1/temple/tears).

And yes, akar's is waaay easier to obtain

Akars may be easier to obtain, in the opinion of some, but one fact is not debatable; a significant number of dedicated, core players are going to be disenfranchised if their Akars Barriers are not granted the same str/con change value as the new body neck.

You just made a generalization about core players being ones who will quit. Next point? Nothing is forever essentially what you are saying.

I think you could understand based on what I am implying in my posts what a core player is, if you need help then ask a friend.

Devs ****** of 'core' players, 'core' players leave, community collapses, game dies. The end.

There may well be a rationale behind the decision taken by the staff, but the fact is that it affects a lot of players that put in a lot of time and resources to complete their character and now that effort is, at least to some degree, rendered worthless (depending on how much stake you put in having 'the best' and how much you rely on having the highest buff to beat other players, dunno). And that was at the very least a bit short sighted and not the first somewhat abrupt transition that created a bit of emotional debris in its path. But I think the decision to offer a free exchange for the neck is a good start.
