News

Hello Community,
there are a couple of news that I want to tell you.
Unfortunately Haldan and Metty, the creators of Tajendi, have left us after their project was finished. It's very hard to see them go. All I can say is: Thank you. Tajendi has become a huge world with a very nice atmosphere and so many nice features. Not to forget the work apart from Tajendi. At this point I want to thank you for the nice work you have done for this server. Metty was in the team for over 4 years, Haldan joined us one and a half years ago. Thank you both. We wish you all the best for the future.
On the other hand I am glad to announce that we have new faces in the team. Reiley and Ezek have joined us. Welcome!

As many of you want to know about the state of the old frontiers, let me give you some details. There are a lot of single issues on the step to old frontiers. For example keeps with their doors, guards and lords, the borderkeeps, the complete bonus system, Darkness Falls access and many more. All of these single issues have to be completed and of course this takes some time.
For the moment the following steps are finished (but still untested):
- Keeps (doors, guards, lords, banners, hasteners)
- Bossmobs (Glacier Giant, Evern, Green Knight)
- Regular mobs
- Borderkeeps (of course the final switch will happen with the release)
- Maps for the zones
Not completed steps:
- Redesign of the Bonus system and Darkness Falls access (because there are no towers in OF)
- Teleporterkeeps
- Migration of the horsequest II
- Half of the relic system (program code)
- A few other internal developer steps
So over all we could say that 60-70% of the technical work is finished, but there is much more to do. We still can't give you a release date. I'll inform you when we've got more details about the time of the release.
There seems to be confusion about patchlevels and realm abilities. Here's an explanation again: We will start in the "new" rvr zone with the current realm abilities. Lowering the patchlevel to 1.65 does not really make sense with a ra system that came in 1.70. So 1.65 will not be seen here in an NF ra system. The rvr zone change itself will happen with the current patchset and with the current realmabilities.
Another very important thing that should not miss here is the block formula. After 8 months of tests, calculations, more tests, more calculations (...) we finally got a working block formula. Finally fulltanks are of real use and caster- and supporterclasses can be guarded.
Finally I want to thank you all for playing here and making this community growing continuously. A few years ago we were 200 people on the server at peaktimes, currently the chart speaks a different language:
Of course due to the high playercounts there can occur lags sometimes (some of you already told us). Our hosting contract forces us to stay at the hoster until November. We are thinking of changing the hoster to get a bigger server. Of course this will cost a little bit more and we will have to calculate whether we can be sure to be able to pay that price constantly. We'll inform you if there is more about this topic.
That's it for now. Enjoy the game!
Regards,
Nayru
