LOL, this server hasn't existed for over a year now. Rather than leaving the working perfectly fine server up while they spend years working on something that might never happen they chose to go totally into hiding. There is no indication that this server will ever return but yeah, lets not lose hope, the return of Uthgard is just around the corner everybody, lets just hang on for a little while more  |

went to try and restart on live, no more classic servers. So have to lvl 50, ml 10, gather and lvl artifacts and what not just to be viable in rvr. Not to mention what ever else you have to do in the expansions post ToA just to be viable in RvR lol. Not a chance for new players at all.

Herald is working fine for me.
I prefer not to see it as Uthgard 2.0. It's just Uthgard. It is amazing in and of itself. The people behind it are even more amazing. I know its coming soon. Someone said in this thread to spend this time exercising and playing outdoors and what not. Thats what I am doing. |

Well, they tried to revive the first few months of DAoC, where the casual player took like 1-3 months to reach lvl 50 and being able to really dive into RVR. (I miss those times with lvl 15-30 in the frontiers and every keep guard add was a wipe, almost every mob add aswell. (You know why Emain was soooo popular? You got it!)) Now you need a lot of time to get ready for RVR, besides the almost instant lvl 50. All in all, nothing changed. Mission accomplished! Albion Forever!

i dont know when you tried to lvl a char from 1-50+temp/ml/cl etc but the last time i did that (may a halv year ago) getting all of these things was just a matter of 2-3 hours and like 20-30plats (as a caby) and some bps like 20k or smth ... dunno i rly think getting rdy for rvr never was as easy as its today ... and getting rr if you know a few ppl on the server (alot of freeshard player there) is rly easy with 50k/h and more ....i literally created that cab at 13.00 and was rr4 plus everything i needed at 20.00 |

Well....
It's been over a year now. I have to say I have some concern that this revamp has been abandoned barring any posts from the devs. Is there any reason to hope this is still alive? I loved playing on Uthgard even if I was a perpetual lowbie. Edit: I found some old screenshots of IRC logs with the devs essentially saying this is going to take a very long time (or at least that's what I took from it). =( |

Luckily the screenshots you found were old, so one could imagine that this "very long time"-frame mentioned might be coming to an end soon  Don't give up hope! cheers |
