Never heard of it. Don't see the server listed in the DoL Portal. I'm slightly interested but they don't seem to have any information out about what their server is targeting. Classic? Live? Patch #? Etc. It ´s nice to see so many ppl still care about daoc and try to get a shard running. This project seems to be very small, if they start with the same crapy version like all the shards did I don ´t give them a big chance to get it up in a good shape very soon. And if they release it in the same bad state like Genesis, it will vanish as fast as it is released, I guess. Due to the longlasting development of Uthgard, other server won ´t stand a chance to reach it ´s standard. Sad but true, most ppl will prefer to not play daoc instead of wasting their time on a bad shard. What is really confusing me is the fact, that there is no Daoc 2 planed by EA in all this years. Daoc still has a big community and still many players see it as the best RvR based game. If it ´s made well,- a second part should be pretty sucessful. Um really? You think EA makes anything good? Huh well that is what limited intellect will do. EA doesn't create quality they buy up companies who make good games and RUIN THEM. I hate them about as much as I do Hasbro for buying up Microprose and RUINING IT. EA is the main reason I left live a long time ago.

It ´s funny to see someone like you talking about limited intellect Kildich, this is probably the only thing you know from self reflection, because when you ´re looking in the mirror, every single day just starts and ends with hard fails. Anyway, you ´re right about EA is a like a bad virus, that kills companies, at least they have the money and ressources to develope games and not every game they (or a firm they own) developed was crap. Ofc it would be better if some other firm would develope DAOC2 , but that won ´t happen.

Just because a company has a lot of money doesn't mean they do good things with it. EA and other companies like to buy innovative companies and destroy them, that way it lowers the bar for them so they can put out crappy games and people will buy them. We desperately need good competition in the computer game industry because while we have some, the major companies are stifling the next golden age of gaming as I see it.

I was keeping up with it then I saw their concept art of all the mages looking like warlocks with chambers floating over their heads. Now I'm just waiting to play beta and hoping for the best without reading the forums too much cause sh*t like that worries me... Why would they want to remind anyone of the warlock? It's the Jar Jar Binks of daoc.

Btw, i heard Uthgard is opening, is it right? There was a time when Uthgard 1.0 existed and maaaany toons and arrpees arose... but now:

The vet dungeons were a lot of fun but there is no progression after, items are easy to get, and you get nothing from pvp so there is no reason to farm alliance points. trying to find out server pops etc, no camelot herald anymore?
