Hi aMek. I can assure you that the staff want to see the server in its full glory and play also. At this moment in time it would be irresponsible of us to give any form of ETA. Let's see how the BETA goes, our internal testers have done an awful lot of work but now we need more people.
People coming together as a community can make great things happen.

will savages be stupid overpowered like on genesis s hitbox?
I want to play a zerker but if you weren't a savage on that server you were stupid and no one wanted you.

From the dev posts, Def Pen should be working correctly as well as guard. Both of those systems were broken on Genesis (savages also had uncapped evade!). They should be more in line with live-like 1.65 and not so over the top.

If it's anything like Uthgard 1.0 the best salvage is DF seal weapons. Even though they changed hulks (only support 1 group maybe) DF is still the best place as the worlds drops was severely nerfed at least in Uthgard 1.0. I remember farming names in dartmoor when I first started on Uthgard but then they got their drop rate lowered so much that it was no longer worth the effort. I doubt it will be any different in Uthgard 2.0 so better own DF 24/7 boys.

Hello Seksy, We see and expect the race to Darkness Falls and the battles for DF to be one of the highlights of the relaunch and the server moving forward. Darkness Falls will be a valuable asset to any realm.
People coming together as a community can make great things happen.

Will pbae go through walls and doors? I think they changed it shortly after ToA, but in 1.65 you could pbae through the wall into the stairway on mid and alb keeps, and through the doors.

Rams in 1.65 cannot be moved. They can be salvaged by the creator. You can buy the parts and craft them with 1 in Siege, or the different crafting disciplines have recipes @ 500 that craft various parts. @Seksy I believe it's 3 siege can hit a door at a time. But see above ^^ you'd can't just move the rams to the next door after the first.
i remembered that the crafters could craft the parts but did not remember the lvl (400-500 : thought it was 400 because you were gaining the guild emblem ability at that level if i recall correctly) With the beginning of Alchemy and Spellcraft, those crafts were able to add jewels and potions to craft diminutive ram receips => but can't remember if it was before or after toa (seems it was before NF though but not sure)

@cheese01551 and other players who played only on Genesis (and maybe live recently): don't get too fixated on how DAoC is implemented on Genesis, while it is playable it is quite a way off from 'real' DAoC at any patchlevel, many things are not implemented properly ... its messy* and custom* similar for DAoC live for the past years ... its messy and weird and the reason why a lot of players want to have a more 'classic' DAoC feel back
*in no way want to diss Genesis staff, they did great work to get a halfway decent server up and running quickly, but the devil is in the detail and to get it right you need to spend a considerable amount of time sourcing info, coding, testing, sourcing, testing, coding, testing etc....
