Hmmm that was quite the little statement, for the record I could care less if someone insults me. I can be an ass and am a fair amount of time and so I expect that someone will go after me about it. What you want is unrealistic, everyone having respect for everyone else? Then you would have to include the devs of Uthgard, I have seen on these forums very little respect and a ton of disrespect. Those who disrespect others get no respect from me even if the devs don't care what you morons are saying I do and when tons of people pile on and post after post is disrespect that offends me. So A. Practice what you preach, you want me to stop being an ass or a jerk or whatever it is you think I am, then go after people that disrespect the devs and don't do it yourself because until the masses on these forums stop their disrespect of the devs you all will get disrespect from me.

I don't know if Uthgard will ever reopen. Hopefully it does but I really think they lost some players with many of the negative changes they made. The peak numbers were already low before Genesis launched and then when Genesis launched didn't they drop to less than 200 at peak?

I do not care if they add old RAs or SI, but I would like to see devs reverse a couple of changes that they made right before the shutdown of Uthgard:

1. Please go back to allowing dead group members to receive a full share of realm points from enemy kills.
2. Please do not port people out of the BGs when they die and /release.

Uthgard has many times peaked at over 1000 players without SI and old RAs. I played on Genesis for awhile but the bugs drove me away. However, I did not go to Genesis because they had SI and old RAs. Are people really that worried about getting SI and old RAs?

Of course my vision of a better worls is unrealistic, but everyone is responsible for himself, right? You cant do it a better world but you can always work on yourself character and being, so when the whole world is f****ed up it is an excuse too be a bad as-s too?
Hmm, I think that ´s way of thinking is just too easy and you f**k up many ppl on that way of doom who don ´t deserve it. At the end you always pay the price, and you will be judged. I ´m not big in faith, but I believe in some kind of destiny.

I know we share at least probably very less points, but I think both of us want a good friendly community with players and staff. There is no need to be rude, insulting other players will change nothing and I think staff won ´t even notice or feel offended by the players impatience and in my opinion impatiently asked questions about a release date or if this project is dead has nothing to do with disrespect or insult of the staff.

But calling ppl idiots, morons and fags etc. is just antisocial and disgusting and something different. No matter who is be cursed that way, if players or staff members, this language should not been used in this forum and I would like to see these people get banned from the boards in the future. It ´s a pitty staff and forum moderators don ´t seem to care so nothing will change and posts like this one are obsolete like the whole discussion.

those two points are the major impacts for a casual player (to which i count myselfe) to join RvR even if you are visiting battlegrounds only.

WHO want´s to sit and wait for a port if you just have like 2 hours of playtime every now and then?

Hey first post in an extremely long time just wanted to say this klidich guy is a real pile of sticks. And I hope he actually plays the game, I have my doubts. I don't even think he knows that this website is for a game called dark age of camelot. While most of your posts generally make me sad for the longevity of the human race they do provide entertainment value. Thanks for being this forum's clown.

I just log into Genesis to confirm what is broken, which is a lot. It is hard to find working classes on that server and certainly all the pet classes are broken one way or the other in epic ways.

So Walzin is the new gamemaster for Uthgard? that would be nice, I ´ve seen him as a hardworking, friendly gamemaster during my short visitation of Genesis and I think he is a big reinforcement for the staff. It ´s nice to see some things are in movement.

Yea, at some point they will QQ, but I don't think that point is reached so quickly. The first few months after a fresh start there's going to be a lot of action and activity in the frontier zones. Also "casual" players will be there, forming random groups, raiding keeps, participating in relic raids.

WIth old RAs it's not that problematic though to beat a high rr group with a random group or low rr group. Of course they are going to have an advantage, but it's not as bad as it is with new RAs. You can't sos and purge3 on every inc, you can't charge on every inc. One of the main reasons the old RA system is better, in my opinion.

Yea, you could do that. But then the incentive to go to RvR would be too low, there wouldn't be enough "reward". Of course RvR would still be fun, but a major part of the fun in DAoC (in my opinion) has always been that you could really noticeably make your character stronger and better by participating in RvR. That's one of the main problems with modern MMOs: That, no matter how good you are or how much time you invest, there's very little reward, a casual gamer can often reach the same things as you can, even though she or he might be far less skilled / well versed in the game mechanics.

That's what is so great in the PvP system DAoC has: if you're good, if you have a good group of people you can outplay larger groups of enemies and your character will get better and stronger.

But as I said, at some point the gap just gets too big, people who are not high realm ranked usually loose faith or just don't care anymore. That's why I think a seasonal concept could be great.
