The 3 months before ToA aren't considered part of the classic era? Why not? What makes those 3 months less "classic" than anything else that came before ToA? Weak justification for an absurd nerf that won't help keep the capitals populated nor encourage RvR. |

And when we announce the bonuses on keeps or try to promote zerg V zerg, we only care about casual PvP carebears and know nothing about 8v8. Got any questions? Submit them to me and I will try to get them answered in our grab bag !

Not going to get away that easy. Answer the question. If you want crafters in TNN why only 1-500 mats? I wont be crafting my alts in TNN after 500 because I can use my main with the money to buy the mats.. put them in my vault and then make them at the house. And why the pass to spellcrafting and Alchy? Why do they get to do it all in TNN while the rest of us have to run the gank squad gauntlet? And how does running lowbies out on a path any ganker can watch for helping out RVR? That is just feeding high levels low levels to gank? Answer me this please... or not if you figure out there are no good answers.. you just want it this way. Look back at my pasts posts I backed your 1.65 rule set from the first day I posted here. Then all of a sudden you all make a choice to screw 3/4 of your crafters with a custom change that isnt needed. DOES NOT do what you say it will with having access to high level crafters in TNN when it will make all alt crafters much easier to level in housing still. This is a bad choice you know it we know it... just give us the real reason for it please because the ones you have given do not make any sense at all. |

Am I dreaming or is this the same soddin we all know and love?

Wait, wasn't soddin the guy licking the devs balls all the way through beta? What a sudden change of mind, impressive
![]() And of course some low levels to gank can evolve rvr. If the route to relic is crowded with gankers, there will soon be ganker hunters, guarder offering their service etc. That will not make it much better for the poor lowlevel crafter, not interested in rvr at all. But the rest can have a lot of fun. ![]() |

@soddin: reasoning was laid out above already. Let your guild help you get the mats or try it yourself. Its intended (and so was by Mythic) that (future) leg crafters take the danger of entering rvr zones or get the high mats in other ways. Its part of the game.
Alchemist mats are given as we didn't want to mess with RvR downtime too much (pots). Thats the only reason theres an exception for it. Again, housing will remain customized to our needs. Shortcutting the craft merch keeps was not an option. We may rethink that at a later time when SI is implemented. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

LOL ok yes dont want to mess with those 8 mans and their alchy pots... rest of you kiss off and get ganked. You said this would make crafters craft in TNN..... like I said all of my alt crafters will be in my house crafting from my house vault full of mats brought to it by my main (also my trinketer) with all the money. So they wont even see innis after hitting 500. And they will never see the relic keep. You all said 1.65 or bust but break that rule to customize a way to screw the crafters.. ohh sorry not he alchy and sc we need potions fast for our 8v8 group. You either let us all craft in tnn to 1100 or you need to make it so alchy and sc share the same pain the rest of us have. Because if not your screwing a section of crafters and leaving another 2 alone. How fair is that? And isnt fair what your going for here? And yes I defended 1.65 because that was what they were preaching... now all of a sudden on a very large issue ( for crafters at least) they choose to make a break and utterly screw the majority of the crafters on this server with a change that isnt 1.65. |

Which alchemy mats are you actually talking about anyways? I'd really like to get an explanation for. Seriously, which mats of alchemy? Albion Forever!

Except that it was also decided (by Mythic) that making crafters run to relic keeps wasn't need as early as SI release. And Mythic also decided it was important to have them in housing to give /b in housing more of a market place feel. If you want to say it's not classic enough let's give zerkers back god-like damage. Hell that was only nerfed right before this patch, so clearly it's not classic enough. Basically what we are saying is that the reasons you are giving us don't make any sense. If you were to just say "we like it this way, so we are making this custom change" it'd be a bitter pill but a little easier to swallow. Instead it's like you are trying to lead us through hoops to see that this is the "classic" way that the Mythic creators all wish crafting had stayed. Every crafter I talk too feels like the server just game them a huge slap in the face and a middle finger. | Absolute Power |

Quoted for truth. This is all on the money. Clearly it wasn't "intended by Mythic" as they not only put the merchants in housing but also in non-RvR SI zones (which, yes, would have been during the "true classic era" even as arbitrarily defined by Blue). The reasons given make no sense. I personally suspect the whole thing has more to do with discouraging tradeskill botting than anything else and that the flimsy defense of the nerf is just a smokescreen. |

If you want more fodder for the frontiers, why not encourage people to exp there? This crafting change is only intended to encourage PvP? I think there are better ways that will end up killing 2 birds with 1 stone- encourage people to exp in the frontiers. It will give us the much needed places to exp and more places to RvR.
Currently there's only a 10% exp bonus (20% if your guild owns keep) for exping in frontiers but it's simply not worth it mainly because there's hardly any good spawns within the keep radius. Either increase spawns (or even add highly sought after monsters like pygmies) or increase the bonus exp in frontiers. Maybe a progressive exp increase as you venture further into the frontiers? I know it's your server, and I appreciate all your doing, but this is one custom change that most people will hate. You obviously want people to be out in the world, so do I, but why not give people an incentive that makes the game more fun (increase exp locations) as opposed to one that will makes people hate playing? |

Fins is fine if you want frontier exp, why not kill the mids who are farming there 24/7 instead of qq here?
|
|
Serious? I would need to bring a zerb of Albs to farm the Fins in HIB frontier. It may be good PvP but I fail to see how it would be a good exp spot without a bunch of people there to protect you... Also, why do you think having 1 decent spot in frontiers (only suited for a FG) is justifiable? I mean if your comment had any merit there'd be more than 5 people exping in the frontiers at any given time... Risk > Reward |
|
You can ignore most mid post's. They never think about a situation for more then a second before they rush to judgement. He obviously has no idea on how this effects crafters. Prob a 8v8 specialist who thinks crafters just instantly hit LGM and doesnt understand the 20+ plat plus the time to get it. |
