But I still think it would be nice with some sort of idea of how the time frame is.
6 months ago, the staff must have known it would be at least 3+ months time.

Is it 6 months now, or 3 years. You must have some idea!

And this has nothing to do with whether it's free time, or if we pay them. If I had paid for this... well... I would not have paid anymore
This is about common curtesy.
We are invited for a lunch, and I think it's rude not to tell us if it's gonna be 30 minutes till we get food, or if it's 5 hours, and we better go get a pizza. People are waiting, you invited them here.

One of the devs invited you to play Sekunda? Wow your pretty special aren't you. I guess then you do deserve to be told whatever you want whenever you want right? I found out about the site by accident and I am sure most of the rest of the players were told by other players but wow so one of the devs must be a friend of yours. Strange that your in the same boat as the rest of us. In case you didn't know this was all sarcasm. I highly doubt you were personally invited by any of the staff and therefor your analogy is quite incorrect.

I will try to reword what I have already said time and time again. Unless you have done something for these devs, or donated please STFU. Common courtesy? So you generously allowed them the opportunity to work on a server (better then any of the other DAoC servers out there) and blessed them with your presence when you played on said server for free and after all that they won't give you details for when the server is coming back up? HOW DARE THEY. How dare they think that they don't owe you anything because they have already done so much for your whiny stupid ass. How dare they post what they have, that is clearly not enough to satisfy a whiny little ****** like you.

Anyway... Why even post an update, if you're not at least going to write: "Expect a minimum of 3 months".

And yes, it's an invitation. Might not be personal, but making an open server is an invitation to the puplic.

Well I look at it differently...

Say my brother buys a new toy...he leaves it out so others can play with it. He is not INVITING me to play with it...he is LETTING me play with it. Using your philosophy he is now obligated to tell me WHEN and WHERE he will be leaving the toy so I can play when I want. My reasoning is he is nice to let me play with it but I should appreciate the time I play with it not EXPECT to be playing with it again soon.

Damn kids nowadays have no appreciation =(

That is a great analogy Quik. Many of these people on the forums expect to be told when and where and how soon.
