Well, but than your post has nothing to do with the topic ...
Cause SI would be GM (worldbuild) work and not Dev work.

You've never done any game development have you?

I could ask you the same.
"No custom changes until server is feature complete and bugfree." - Blue

Yet we have Taj and purposefully bugged animists among other things

Also if any Euro insults you in the IRC just take it or Trishin will ban you out of spite

I know there's not many available coders on Uthgard (maybe one?) but could there be a post about the already well-known bugs on Uthgard, before going through such an effort as adding more content?

Seems even after adding the RvR dungeons even more bugs have appeared. The constant annoyance of the old bugs gets rather old, and to see something new coming out just means a chance to have to deal with even more annoyances then there already are.

Even Live DAoC, Mythic, made the mistake of not fixing the old bugs, creating new content, and not bothering to fix any of the bugs, new or old.

Please don't let Uthgard fall to such little annoyances, since so many of us enjoy the Uthgard server.

how should casi & abydos fix bugs ? they make worldbuild

I dont know how DaoC is buildet, but mostly its 3/4 levels of Developement: Engine Code, Script for Gameplay (not always), Level Design, Graphic.

So a GM dont need to know a coding language like Assembler, C/C++/C#, its enought if he can use world builder (most Games use a own LevelBuilder or a converter from 3DS or other 3D Programs) and game script + maybe DB architecture to add new items/mobs.

I can tell you even less is needed as a GM.

Most of things are done in game through in game commands. (which developers have coded)

I can tell you now: Implementing RvR dungeons OR SI does not add new bugs (for developers to fix) because 99,99% of the work done there is done through in game commands which a GM has access to.

Worldbuild is a GMs task
Code is a developers.

People need to learn the difference.

The bugs you have experienced from the RvR dungeons has been server issues and not issues caused by the RvR dungeons.

SI coming to Uthgard is some of the best news I have heard since the announcement of Old Frontiers. I cannot imagine how anyone would have a problem with this content. Keep it up guys! This is great.

I would like to log into a 14-day free account on live to help but I would like to know first if there Is some kind of status sheet of what remains to be done? Just so I'm not doubling efforts in the short trial period.

Ur opinion,

SI was a great add on for pve- nice zones and wonderful designed dungeons. Tuscaren Glacier, Trollheim, and the myth about the lowbie killing Griffon Arr in Gripklosa,- i like it.

Agreed! I'm a die-hard PVE person myself. I save PVP/RVR for last, whenever I'm broke, down, and out, and have nothing else to do.

I did enjoy SI quite a bit! I hope this is going well in the development department! Good luck folks!
