I don't think Uthgard is dead but it's not anywhere near done. Even the simple things like coming up with rules has not been posted. They are taking there sweet time, which is not bad, but it makes people doubt there abilities because there is very little communication. If there was more activity on the forums people would stop with the Uthgard dead.

I don't know how they could build something so great and let it disappear without looking back. The Gms are building what they want to play, not what the community wants, and because of this they really don't care for the forums. All the great ideas don't matter if no ones listening. Best thing to do is stop wasting your time on the forums.

I'm not sure the server will return, but until we hear some feed back this is really all pointless. Think to yourself, if the Gms really cared wouldn't they have responded by now? This is to be expected from a freeshard server, it's called communism.

I can only make educated (or not) guesses to why the server is still not up and why the Gms force us to wait many months for any news. I might be wrong or I hit the nail on the spot, but until they open their mouth, we can only guess.

Communication and silence do not mix. Whether they want to keep us guessing, or just continue to torture the die hard Uthgard players is their choice.

My guess is they have halted the relaunch because I would see one maybe two people on Uthgard, but now It's Always empty.

Rip Uthgard? We can only guess.....

Well the way I see it unless you are in a communist country then your right, but we aren't so he/she has the right to say whatever he wants as long as it's within the rules. However, since there are no rules, anything goes

I have faith in the staff and have talked to Trish on IRC. They are still working but with RL problems and unexpected problems they might have bitten more then they can chew .

With a new puppy and school I'm actually quite glad it's taking longer then expected, but I hope we can get some positive news soon because it's quite ridiculous how quite the staff are, they don't even care what anyone says on the forums. If they did they would at least respond with a Smiley face .

Feedback and communication never been part of Uthgard 1.0, they said that things would have drastically changed on Uth2.0, but nothing *yet*

On a more positive way, I see quite often at least 1 GM on uthgard via DAOC Portal. >> On different time of the day or night (australian time)

I can only assume and hope it means that some work is being done and for this I want to say : THANK YOU.

Even if this is not related to Uthgard 2. I still want to say THANK YOU for all the work done during many many years... Its an amazing perf, considering its was free server and it was so stable and enjoyable.

We may or may not have Uthgard 2 soon or not, but we should be grateful no matter what.

It's amazing that a lot of negative posts are from people that joined the forum in 2014. Always the same ... in every forum.

In my work I have chance to work with people from anywhere... trust me the germans are not talkers, AT ALL.

They will come out with big thing at some point rather than little progress feedbacks, love it or hate it

Seriously though, I'm happy with the "downtime", as I am burned out on MMO's right now.

No one groups any more, and as a lvl 20 that means ultra boredom.

Anyway, through all the hate from people who joined 2014 to just trash Uthgard, but also through all the old annoying Uthgard trolls, it's still a community that feels good to return to.

I hear you on the no one groups thing. I think it is a growing trend for MMO's in general. I like the option personally but I think a big part of it is people don't like to depend on getting a group, that can take time and people don't like depending on the people in that group. When I first started playing MMO's (EQ) I had a lot of friends playing that I knew IRL but none of my current friends play the same games. Its kind of sad I think but I am older than a lot of the people that play MMO's now and I think its just a growing up getting old and your schedule and your friends schedules just aren't compatible anymore. On another note, I will continue to RIP those people that continue to complain about the Devs here not giving updates, not bringing the server back up when the whiners want it up. THEY OWE YOU NOTHING, I for one am grateful like a number of other people on the forums but when I see a whiner's post all I see is complaining, I don't see those people thanking the devs who have taken THEIR time and spent THEIR money to give us something NO ONE ELSE can give us and that is a very good, solid, mostly bug free DAoC. I half think the whiners want Uthgard to fail and that is why they continue to ******. Well whiners.... GTFO.

They must be so busy that they obviously don't care to post on the forums. Do they really care about the community, maybe when the server is live and they need people to bring it to life. Forget about all those who are die hard Uthgard players who have also donated to help.

I'm not a new player who just join Uthgard, I just never bothered about the forums. I had to start posting because it's odd how the activity has diminished and people are just ok with it.

Maybe it's pointless to point out the obvious, but someone had to. How hard is it to bring an update once a month at least to reassure and update on the progress...

Pretty sure they said they were staying away from the forum when they first started revamp.
