"Quality of player" is subjective, but RR is quite literally a measure of RvR experience.

I think RR just shows the amount of realmpoints you gathered, I knew players on live which had no idea what they were doing, just by hanging around in RvR every evening (getting into PUGs and/or zerging) for a long time they accumulated a huge amount of rp's, reaching RR10 and later 11 without ever really striving to get a better understanding of the game.

Can Uthgard staff just shut down the website already? So there is nothing left to tease us. I can't help coming here every day and reading nothing helpful or informative. At least with the website down I can start to break this bad habit, and waste my time on other meaningless forums and games. Yes, you certainly do have a point. People stealth grouping can make some irritatingly good rps with very low effort: leeching, zerging down solos, etc. However, you'll have to forgive me if I still have very little confidence in the brilliant PvP opinions of someone who has only a rr4 character. It takes like one week to get rr4. Maybe running out, dying repeatedly, not making rps and staying at rr4 has given them some kind of deeper understanding of the game, but, if that's the case, I think I'll choose to go on not understanding.

Not that there's anything wrong with being a pve'er and of course they should feel welcome! I'm all for finding ways to encourage them to come out to rvr and have fun. It's just when the perma-rr4s come on here saying, "Oh, take away the charges, take away SCing, take away potions, give us rps while dead, give us buffbot npcs so it can be fair, etc." that's when they annoy me.

But it wasn ´t a question/discussion about RR, RvR experience and so on previously.

Oswaldo made a random flame and raised his opinion about someone because of his higher RR and the topic was not about rvr. Even though, a high realm rank only says someone spent much time in rvr, it nothing says if he ´s a good/bad rvr/pve player, or a good person, whatever.

Even if someone had a 4L4 character as his highest character here, he could have had a high one at the live servers too, or he just started playing lately at Uthgard. So, discussions like these are worthless without knowing the whole background of the players inflicted.

These discussions show how bored we ´re , maybe it would really be a good thing to shut the forums down and only post up news, until the server is back.

im curious with what kind of meaningful activitys you fill the gap, maybe you can inspire all the nerds and frustrated people that hang around the forums all day long so they can finally achieve something in life just like you do

I guess with all the grey killing and killing xp'rs, this makes you an expert on PvP. This game is 15 years old. Realmrank means fkall. Suppose the tools that come with the higher RR make lesser skilled player cope a little better when it comes to dealing with those xp'rs.

You can be mad at him for greykilling, this wont change that he was a strong 1v1 pvp player, i cant tell for group since he rarely did it

I'm not mad at him, why would I be? I used to enjoy seeing him in DF. Which is also (just about) the only place I ever saw him. Strong 1vs1? I'm not sure I ever met him 1vs1. Then again, a minstrel with pet 1vs1 aint too hard to play. Especially with a bit of RA's. But his talk about playstyle and RR made me laugh.
