I don't think the Uthgard staff got mad when Genesis came out. I think they didn't give a crap that it even existed. I also don't think they deleted the database to punish the players. I think the reboot is/was a sincere way to encourage not only new players but old players to get new enjoyment out of the server. Why would they want to punish the players that are still here? Do you really think they would waste their time keeping this page up or updating players as to the status? Why wouldn't they just close everything down if they wanted to punish the players who btw if players left to play on Genesis how would it help to punish the rest? Dude use your brain. I sure haven't heard that Genesis is anything to write home about and I won't be playing on it. If Uthgard does not come back then I will get on Camelot Unchained when it comes out.

I also want to thank you kildlich for representing the silent community part including myself so well. After all we all know that the people that dont voice their opinion here have similar thoughts as yours, so keep it up and dont let the ******* bring you down.

Thank you Bloodwyne. I appreciate your support, I just want the devs (if they are reading these posts) to know that not everyone is complaining about what they are doing. I hope I do not speak out of turn but it seems to me that like me you and Zetetic and others who may not want to get caught up in the back and forth want the server to be done right even if it takes time. We should all want that but there are too many impatient and selfish people here and I worry that the devs will see how many people complain and ****** and decide that it is not worth continuing their hard work for people like that. I truly hope that is not the case but if that does happen I hope all those that were responsible for the devs disgust at most of the people on the forums put their heads between their legs and kiss their own ass's.

Even thought I really do despise Kildich's trash talking and arrogance, I do admit I feel the same: we want quality server thought it might take time to get it done.

But still: Uthgard is a project, which success completely relies on the community - without any (or way too small), there will be no freeshard server called Uthgard; the devs will take it down if it would serve no function to hold up. This is where it comes around to keep the community notified and informed - steady feed of news and progression updates would make community happier and would allow it to grow by getting new curious members to the community, anxiously waiting for Uthgard 2.0 to get released! But at this moment the news are nil and people are dropping out day by day losing their interest on following the quarreling on these forums and waiting for announcements never/too rarely appearing.

100% agree Hakkiha, i'll waiting, but many people are leaving, we need to have 1000players online or more when the server is up

Do I think better communication would help them complete the revamp? No I don't, why would it. We don't need to know anything actually. Let me compare it to something. Say you hear about a game coming out say for example Camelot Unchained and they give a release date of March of 2016. March 2016 comes and goes and they are still working on the game. Do you A. Pester the ****** out of the devs of the game thinking it will help them move faster? B. Pester the ****** out of the devs of the game thinking they own you step by step progress reports? C. Pester the ****** out of the devs because your an idiot? D. Don't pester the devs because good things take time?

Let me put it another way. There was a game Master of Orion 3 that I was VERY excited about. Unfortunately Microprose had been purchased and destroyed by those bastards at Hasbro and a new company was making the game. It was released WAY before it was ready and it SUCKED hardcore. I understand that I have said this before but the devs on this server are different from the ones in EVERY OTHER GAME because they ARE NOT getting paid and yet the people on the forums act like they do get paid. I am sorry you feel that your entitled to demand information, how long have some of you been playing on this server? YOU KNOW the devs do not communicate very often and yet you have been loyal to the server BECAUSE the devs have for over a decade put out a great server. So now you either continue to be loyal AND respectful (IE STOP ******, COMPLAINING and just being all around idiots) or you leave and play on Genesis or play some other game.

I play other games currently, I have tons and tons of games. I don't need Uthgard to come back but I really want it too. I have a theory that some of you are actually players from Genesis trying to annoy and ****** of the devs enough so they will drop the revamp. If that were to happen then maybe more people would jump to Genesis. That is the only reason I can come up with why you idiots continue to ****** and moan about the lack of update and the time its taking. How does ****** and moaning help you? first of all, chill , we all are having a conversation, if you are not able to talk in a civil way, we can stop it now. Then, i (and i assume the majority of the community) don't want them to move faster, you didn't understand at all, i'd like to have more news about the server revamp, that's it (the closing of this server is a new aswell, so not only good news).
Asking for news is not acting like the owe us something; furthermore i don't think they have to write pages of data, for some people even a Trishin's fart (no offense) is enough...

Regarding CU and march 2016 realising date, do you think they stop communicating/posting/updating news till then? i guess not, and this is different from releaising the game earlier.
Regarding Master of Orion 3, i honestly don't know it, but i got the sense of your example. I totally agree with that, infact we all don't want an earlier release of a buggy server.

I think we are talking about 2 different things: asking for news (which most of the people do) and pretending an earlier release (which none wants).

Regarding your theory about Genesis spies and saboteurs...well, i really hope you're joking. probably 90% of genesis players are there only because Uth is down.
